Tecnifibre Tfight 300 Preview

Written by: Jonas Eriksson | February 12, 2025

Tecnifibre have released a 100 sq inch version of their popular Tfight. The Tecnifibre Tfight 300 should not be confused with the Tecnifibre 300S, which is 98 sq inches.

The trend of traditionally 98 sq inch racquet lines like the Blade or the Tfight, also introducing 100 sq inch versions is strong. You will get much of the feel and control of the smaller head sizes, but with the typical increased forgiveness that 100 sq inches allow.

This is the first iteration of the Tecnifibre Tfight 300, so let’s have a look at the specs.

Specifications

As you can see below, this racquet is not competing with powerful racquets like the Babolat Pure Drive or Yonex Ezone 100. The thinner beam and lower stiffness will make it a more controlled 100 sq inch racquets.

Competitors: Nordicdots Model 100, Wilson Blade 100, Babolat Pure Strike 100, HEAD Speed MP and Dunlop CX 400 Tour. As you can see the category already has some stern competition, but considering the positive reviews of the Tfight 315S and 305S, this should be an interesting play-test!

Where to buy?

So far the racquet only seems available at Tennis Warehouse (US). I have been informed that the racquet will launch in Europe in March, so we will update our links then. You can get the other new Tfight racquets from Tennis Warehouse Europe and get 10% off using TNERD10 as the discount code.

According to the Tennis Warehouse product review, long-time play-tester Chris Edwards has already switched to this racquet from his HEAD Prestige Classic 2.0, so that is quite a contrast. But also a sign of how promising this racquet might be.

My first impressions

I have only had one hit with this racquet so far and I experienced relatively easy power and a higher launch angle. The racquet was a little more erratic and “floaty” than the Tfight S racquets (98 sq inches), so I will need more time to dial it in. It was strung with Razor Soft white at 53 lbs (24 kg), which might be a bit too much for the racquet as the sweet spot is smaller than what I would expect from other racquets in this spec range.

Not a bad racquet by any means, but I need more time to find the right string and tension for it. It felt a little firm for me with Razor Soft (which is not a “soft” string).

Hitting and commentary on this racquet and the new Dunlop SX 300 Tour will be up for members and patrons this week. So if you want to support the work and get extra weekly content, please consider joining, thanks.
