My clients and fellow players are always asking questions about strings. 1. Toroline O’Toro Tour
If someone asks me about getting the most ball rotation and solid tension maintenance, O’Toro Tour is my first choice. It combines a very smooth surface coat with a disciplined, control-first co-poly structure. I’ve gone back to the O’Toro Tour for my own set-up in recent months as it’s so ridiculously consistent on long hitting sessions. The mains have a slide and snap-back feature similar to a rubber band, so you can make large baseline cuts and still keep the ball in bounds.

2. Toroline O’Toro Octa
O’Toro Octa utilizes an 8-sided geometric layout that is elegant and precise in its approach to the spin window. I tested this again on the court recently and I immediately noticed a lot of feedback from the string to the ball. The octagonal profile captures the felt nicely, so no need to over-swing to get a deliberate, dipping launch angle. It has a little more mechanical bite than the regular round options which will give you all the confidence in the world when rolling a heavy angle cross court.

3. O’Toro Snap Tour Flex

I was pleased by the plushness of the Snap Tour Flex and the deep ball-pocketing feel it provided. The ball pockets then flexes and is let go with a rapidrecoil when it hits the string-bed. For those who like the feel and pocketing it is very addictive as it does not turn mushy.

4. Vamos
I was really keen to try this product out, so I put it through its paces with a full bed and a hybrid setup with an A5. The string has a unique, more spongey feeling on the court, unlike the O’Toro Tour. However, the extra give produces a very fun hitting experience, higher ball flight and a lot of spin.
This 1.23mm hexagonal cross-section significantly increases friction on contact so the stringbed can actively grab the ball for precise control and an addictive bite. If you’re an aggressive ball striker and you want modern performance without the boardy feel, this is an absolute must try. And the terrific tension maintenance backs it up. 5. O’Toro Spin
O’Toro Spin (image on top) is a versatile, classic baseline option and the standard for the whole line. From the first moment very simple to operate and play with, since offers a uniform and balanced response and clean. It doesn’t have as sharper edges of the Octa or the extreme stiffness and control orientation of the Tour version, but it’s a nice balance between comfort and playability. It’s a good option for a lot of intermediate and advanced players.

Other Notables to Consider
In addition to the top five, Toroline has a number of great options: Their crisp, classic benchmark hex string for predictable feedback is Toro Toro. O’Toro offers a smooth response and allows low-friction snapback and a heavy, penetrating flight. O-Snap is an ultra-slick specialist cross string, designed specifically to maximize main-string movement. But one setup worth giving a go is utilizing Vamos in the mains and A5 in the crosses. Vamos mains delivered a high, exhilarating launch, and the slick, round A5 crosses let the ball slide and snap back with extreme elasticity. The combo gave a crisper overall feel and elite, precise spin on full swings.
Final verdict
If I were ranking these Toroline options based on their absolute spin potential, snapback performance, and overall court feel after months of testing, I’d put them in this order:
- O’Toro Tour for the premier blend of high-speed snapback, control, and tension stability.
- O’Toro Octa for maximum mechanical grip and an explicit, biting string feel.
- O-TORO SNAP TOUR FLEX for the softest, most elastic pocketing response with excellent arm comfort.
