Wilson is releasing a limited-edition version of its RF 01 racket line on August 14 (at Wilson.com), tied to Roger Federer’s induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The Hall of Fame edition comes in two models – the RF 01 and the RF 01 Pro – both based on the existing RF 01 platform but with commemorative details specific to this release.
What’s new?
The Hall of Fame editions retain the core frame design and technologies of the standard RF 01 models while adding a commemorative touch. Federer’s Grand Slam victories and career achievements are referenced on the racket, including detailing on the throat, while the metallic gold elements give the frames their distinctive Hall of Fame look. Wilson describes the design as a celebration of Federer’s career and legacy.
Beyond the cosmetic and commemorative changes, the published specifications remain in line with the existing RF 01 and RF 01 Pro frames.

The extra mass of the RF 01 Pro provides greater stability and plow-through, while the lighter RF 01 is easier to maneuver and can be a more accessible option for players who don’t want the weight of the Pro. Current retailer specifications list both models as supplied unstrung.
Where this fits in the RF lineup
The RF 01 collection grew out of Federer’s collaboration with Wilson to create a more modern racket for his all-court game, building on the characteristics of his long-running Pro Staff RF97 setup. The resulting RF family offers different weight options aimed at players looking for different combinations of maneuverability, stability and feel.
That lineup includes three frames:
- RF 01 Future — 280g, the lightest and most maneuverable option
- RF 01 — 300g, the all-around model
- RF 01 Pro — 320g, the heaviest and most stable option
The Hall of Fame edition applies the same 300g/320g split to the RF 01 and RF 01 Pro, without a Hall of Fame version of the Future model currently appearing in the available listings.
This isn’t the first limited run built on the RF 01 platform either… Wilson also released the “RF Classics” collection in mid-2025, which included a reissue of Federer’s old nCode Six-One Tour 90 alongside the modern RF 01 Pro Classic, whose design draws inspiration from that earlier frame.
If you’ve played the standard RF 01 or RF 01 Pro and liked how they feel, the Hall of Fame edition isn’t intended to alter the on-court character of either frame, it’s just a cosmetic update to celebrate Federer’s induction and career achievements. Wilson’s Hall of Fame collection specifically highlights his 20 major singles titles and other career milestones.
Federer’s actual International Tennis Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on August 29, 2026, in Newport, Rhode Island.
