Wilson have just unveiled the RF Classics Collection, a limited-edition tribute to tennis legend Roger Federer, launching just before Wimbledon on June 27th. Celebrating Federer’s legendary 2004–2006 run where he played with the nCode racquet, this collection offers both nostalgia and innovation. With two new racquets developed alongside the 20-time Grand Slam champion, this release should be interesting for many fans.

The racquets

The RF Classics Collection features two racquets. The RF 01 Pro Classic, priced at £300, reimagines the nCode’s sleek black-and-white design on Federer’s RF 01 Pro frame, launched in 2024. Its SABR-inspired build delivers spin, pace, and directional shifts, ideal for versatile players, and comes with a molded RF racket cover.

The nSix-One Tour 90, at £260, is a reissue of the original nCode Federer wielded during his 2004–2006 dominance, when he won six of his eight Wimbledon titles and three straight US Opens,. Perfect for collectors and modern players, it’s a near-exact replica of the 90-square-inch frame that is now a classic.

The nCode, a special racquet

“I have so many great memories with my Wilson rackets, but the nCode will always stand out,” Federer said, reflecting on his 2005 Wimbledon final, where he crushed Andy Roddick 6-2, 7-6(2), 6-4. Wilson’s Jason Collins called the collaboration “extremely special,” explaining it’s all about inspiring new players by honoring Federer’s legacy.

The RF Classics Collection should really be a hit for both Wilson and Federer fans. The nSix-One Tour 90 is a collector’s gem, while the RF 01 Pro Classic blends this nostalgia with modern playability. They’re a bit pricey, but it was expected for this kind of collection and maybe we’ll see a new retro racket trend.

Where to buy the RF Classics Collection?

The RF Classics Collection can be found over at Wilson.com and also at select Wilson retail stores on June 27th, timed for the start of the 2025 Wimbledon.
