This Tecnifibre Tfight 315S Review deals with the update to the predecessor called ISO 315 (no S then).
The Tfight line is Tecnifibre’s bestseller. And for a good reason. It offers a beautiful blend of control and feel. Also, if you are a Medvedev, Swiatek or Griekspoor fan, then the Tfight is their weapon of choice (endorsing/using), Medvedev and Griekspoor prefers the 18/19 305S, while Iga plays with a lighter 16/19 model.
If you are curious about a more in-depth look at the new Tecnifibre Tfight racquets, check out our podcast with Senior Product Manager, Patrice Chabrel, from Tecnifibre. It’s available in audio (through Spotify, Apple and this website) and video (on our YouTube channel).
What’s new?
Many players enjoyed the previous ISO Tfight racquets, but they did have more mass in the head overall. The 315S did not have as much of an adjustment in weight distribution as the 305S, but they have reinforced the RS Section Beam to provide a more powerful response. In layman’s terms, the racquets are stiffer and more direct in the hoop compared to the predecessor. For most players, that will be a good thing, but not for those who prefer a more dampened response.
The racquet is still foam-filled which helps deal with some unwanted vibrations and creates a more solid feel overall.
Specifications
The specs tell you a bit about the identity of the 315S. This is a racquet for players who enjoy a hefty but head-light feel. It’s the racquet in the Tecnifibre line-up that works best for more traditional players. Players that like to use the full court and maybe come in for some serve and volley, for example.

Performance and playability
Being a more “old-school” player with a one-handed backhand, the Tecnifibre Tfight 315S immediately appealed more to me than even the 315S. I am still in two minds which string pattern I prefer. The 305 offers better precision, while this one offers more launch and spin potential. Overall, I would say the 16/19 pattern of the 315S makes it slightly easier to use.
I would not be worried about the static weight, as most head-light racquets play lighter than the specs tell you. Also, the 325 swing weight should be very user-friendly for intermediate to advanced players.
The racquet is very well-balanced and versatile. It feels like you can play any shot and game style and just focus on your tennis. The stiffness is semi-high, so I would not string it at too high of a tension unless you use a natural gut or multifilament hybrid. You can of course also use a softer polyester.
I liked it with Tecnifibre Razor Soft and Tru Pro Pure Rush at around 49 lbs. Razor Soft is not as “soft” as the name might lead you to believe. There are also Toroline strings and the excellent String Project Magic to consider. Rememer that you can get a discount on strings and more through our Deals page.
I am in two minds whether I prefer the 305S or 315S. They are both very good racquets and it’s hard to pinpoint a flaw on either of them. I would be a bit cautious with the stiffer feel as I said above, but other than that, there is not much negative to report.
Pros and Cons
+ Versatile
+ Connection to the ball
— A bit stiff for some
I am not going to add this as a con, as it is a personal thing, but the grip shape is still very rectangular, so that has been an issue for me, who prefer a more rounded grip.
Who is it for?
The Tecnifibre Tfights can be used by pretty much anyone when it comes to style. The 315S seems more suited to advanced players who like a traditionally balanced racquet. It is a solid frame but not difficult to maneuver and gives you a good balance of power, spin potential and control.
There are some of the most versatile racquets out there right now and all-court players should give them a demo.

Summary
The Tecnifibre Tfight continue to be the flagship in the brand’s arsenal. The new generation are better balanced and seem to suit a wider range of styles and players. They did not have to make huge changes, but they ones they made are sensible and to the point.
I thoroughly enjoyed this Tecnifibre Tfight 315S Review. An excellent update that needs to be demoed. Tennisnerd Approved.
