January 2025 is the most intensive racquet release period in my memory. Besides, Gravity, Clash, Whiteout, Ezone, Pure Drive (check all the racquet posts here), there is also the Dunlop SX 2025 racquets.
The Dunlop SX racquets are competitors to the Babolat Pure Aero, the HEAD Extreme, and the Yonex VCORE, to name a few brands. It’s a racquet created to accentuate launch angle and spin potential. It was previously endorsed by Miomir Kecmanovic and Michael Mmoh, but Kecmanovic seems to be endorsing/using the Dunlop FX.
You can check out the new Dunlop SX racquets from our friends at Tennis Warehouse (US, Canada), Tennis Warehouse Europe, Tennis Only (AU).
We tried the Dunlop SX 300 and SX 300 Tour in blacked-out versions in the review below.
What is new?
The racquet comes with a new mold and improved dampening technology. The beam is widened at 3 and 9 to increase the torsional stability and power. Vibroshield tech is added in the shaft and head to minimize vibrations. Dunlop has updated their spin grommets and call them Spin Boost XT, which have been widened in the yoke for more string movement and snapback. As with previous versions, there is Sonic Core Infinergy, a thermoplastic polyurethane in the upper hoop for a more comfortable response and responsive feel.
