Magdalena Frech’s tennis racquet

Magdalena Frech’s racquet is a Wilson Blade Pro 16/19 (called H22 in pro stock terms). This is a rare racquet on the WTA Tour, although very popular on the ATP Tour. On the women’s tour, we usually see more power-based setups like the Steam 99 (now called Wilson Ultra Pro 99) or 100 pro stocks for example. She strings her racquets with what looks like a natural gut (mains) and Luxilon Element hybrid. Element is one of Luxilon’s softer string, but is not quite as spin-oriented as Alu Power.

This victory got her to a new career-high ranking of No. 22 in the world on October 28, 2024.
