Tennis shoes engineered for women? Yes, Wilson Sporting Goods, together with WTA player Marta Kostyuk, recently introduced the new Wilson Intrigue tennis shoes for women. Let’s have a closer look at what these can offer players, and how they were designed.
The Intrigue are the first high-performance tennis shoes by Wilson, that are designed just for women. Marta Kostyuk has been wearing Wilson apparel since 2023 and are usually seen in fashionable wear and high-performance kits. This time it’s time for something new: footwear.

With valuable player insights from the Ukrainian top player, Wilson wanted to create a shoe with maximum performance on all surfaces, that makes women move quicker on the court, and of course look great at the same time.
The point of the Intrigue is to fit the needs of female athletes and they are built to match how women’s feet move and work on court. You’ll find them in three versions: Tour, Pro, and Lite, basically for players of all levels.
Features
This shoe features some brand new technologies, first of all a lightweight, breathable mesh called UltraShield. The FootFrame fit support, together with the laces, makes it easier to adjust to your foot. Also, the new SwiftStep sockliner should get the responsive foam closer to the foot and gets further comfort and bounce.
The all-court sole gives traction and stability on various surfaces. There’s also the option to get the Clay court version.

According to Shivam Bhan, Wilson’s senior director of footwear, the process that led to this design will be “the new standard of fit for Wilson’s women’s-specific tennis footwear”.
