The Yonex Ezone 2025 was revealed today and you can see some images and a teaser video here.
Yonex call the Ezone 2025 campaign “Play Full Power” and have opted for a neon-style blue color (they call it “Blast blue”), which, judging by the comments on Instagram and YouTube, is quite polarizing. I’m keen to hear what you think of the new cosmetic for the 8th generation of the Ezone in the comments below.
Let’s look at the technologies and the specifications of the Yonex Ezone 2025 models.

Technologies
The Isometric head shape is not something new for Yonex racquets. It is in most tennis players eyes, what makes a Yonex racquet a Yonex racquet!
According to Yonex themselves, the Isometric tech creates a 7% larger sweet spot.
What is new for the Ezone 2025 is the so-called “Energizing Isometric”, which is described as follows:
ENERGIZING ISOMETRIC™
This is all quoted from the official website.
1. EXPANDED FRAME TOP
This modification increases the size of the sweet spot, giving players a larger area for consistent and powerful shots, even on off-center hits. This change makes the racquet more accommodating, giving players extra confidence with every shot.
2. WIDENED BEAM WIDTH AT THE TOP
A wider top beam width enhances responsiveness and power, enabling explosive shots with less effort.
3. EXTENDED TAPERED INNER FRAME
The extended tapered inner frame enhances flex and ball pocketing, delivering a softer, more controlled feel
The racquet still comes with VDM, vibration dampening mesh, which takes care of vibrations but also mutes the feel a bit.
What is new is Minolon.
MINOLON
Crafted from threads spun by minomushi bagworms (this is something I have never heard of in tennis racquet technology before!), MINOLON* features ultra-fine strands bonded into a net-like structure. Its soft, smooth texture ensures a plush feel, making every shot on the court a delight.
2G-NAMD™ SPEED
2G-Namd™ Speed: Engineered for flex and power, it combines high-modulus graphite fibers with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) to create a material that efficiently transfers energy for a quick snapback.

Summary
It is a bold color choice, but personally, it has grown on me (first impressions were not as positive). As always with cosmetics, seeing them in pictures and in person is quite different.
I need more time to comment on playability, but compared to the 2022, I would not say this racquet is hugely different. The feel was a bit cleaner and more pleasant, probably due to the Minolon. If I had to choose one of them, I’d go with the new versions based on my 1-2 hours of hitting with the new one. It felt like a refined version.
However, if you are fan of raw feel, no dampening and want something similar to the Yonex DR 98, you will probably not like this one.
For most players, however, it will be an upgrade as it has a pleasant feel and is addictively easy to use.
More to come on this topic!
