When I heard that Chris Edwards switched to this racquet, it perked my ears. Here is my Tecnifibre Tfight 300 Review.
The Tecnifibre Tfight 300 should not be confused with the Tecnifibre 300S, which is 98 square inches.
The trend of 98 sq inch racquet lines like the Blade or the Tfight, also introducing 100 sq inch versions is strong. You will get much of the feel and control of the smaller head sizes, but with the typical increased forgiveness that 100 square inches allow.
This is the first iteration of the Tecnifibre Tfight 300, so letโs have a look at the specs.
Specifications
As you can see below, this racquet is not competing with powerful racquets like the Babolat Pure Drive or Yonex Ezone 100. The thinner beam and lower stiffness will make it a more controlled 100 sq inch racquets.
Competitors: Nordicdots Model 100, Wilson Blade 100, Babolat Pure Strike 100, HEAD Speed MP and Dunlop CX 400 Tour. As you can see the category already has some stern competition, but considering the positive reviews of the Tfight 315S and 305S, this should be an interesting play-test!

Technology
This racquet benefits from Tecnifibre’s newly thickened RSL Beam, which adds a nice power boost without departing from the control-oriented DNA of the TFIGHT franchise. Like other Tfights, the racquet is foam-filled, adding some stability. The racquet feels rock solid on impact, by the way. Other technologies include the ISOFLEX System, which is supposed to create a more uniform feel across the string bed, reducing shock and minimizing power loss on off-center hits.
Playability and performance
The first time I tried the Tfight 300, it was strung with Tecnifbre Razor Soft white at 24 kg. This string is quite firm and made the racquet feel a bit dead. The new Tfights are semi-stiff, so it is important to dial in the right string to open up the sweet spot and a more pleasant feel.
Next up, I tried Isospeed Rexxxr, an oval string, which I suspect few people have heard of. This string had a nice mix of control and spin, yet offered a pleasant sensation when striking the ball. This worked really well and I felt like I could attack the ball with confidence.
I felt like the ball was sailing more with Razor Soft, which, on paper, is a firmer string. But I think the new Tfights are relatively string sensitive and the Tfight 300 is not any different.
This racquet is interesting. It is like something between the HEAD Speed MP and Pro in terms of launch angle and spin, but with a more direct and crisp feel. I felt it plays really well when you attack the ball with a flatter stroke. It might not be aerodynamic enough for spin players looking for extra rotations on the ball, but it does have a decent launch.
If you like a long dwell time in the string bed, you will likely prefer the Nordicdots Model 100, where the ball stays longer and has that nice “cupping” sensation. However, I felt like got more power out of the Tfight 300, and for flat killer shots, it must be one of the best racquets on the market.
I also loved serving with it. The beam moved quickly fast through the air and you could generate quite a bit of pop. The story was similarly positive on returns, I felt able to really attack the ball and be aggressive.
Who is it for?
The Tecnifibre Tfight line is a versatile line of racquets that can suit all courters and aggressive baseliners equally well. I tend to think aggressive players who like to hit with a flatter trajectory will love this racquet. I felt like maybe it is so nice to flat shots with that you can lose a little bit of caution and go for too much, but that is not really the racquet’s fault.
I think aggressive players who like to get to the net should feel right at home and I also feel it could be a great doubles racquet.
Pros and cons
+ Good balance of power and control
+ Stable and solid
+ Does most things well
— Can be stiff with the wrong string (string sensitive)
— The Tecnifibre grip shape can take some getting used to
Summary
I was not that impressed during my first hit doing this Tecnifibre Tfight 300 Review. I felt like the racquet was a little clunky and it felt firm with Razor Soft. As soon as I switched strings, the racquet opened up and I enjoyed the crispness from the string bed, while also being more connected to it. So if you are testing the Tecnifibre Tfight 300, make sure to consider several string setups. I have noticed that the new Tfights are somewhat string-sensitive and can play too firm with the wrong setup, but when you dial it in, they can be quite magical.
I will keep hitting with this one as it seems to suit my game like a glove. Might not mean it is the one in the end, but it for sure has loads of potential. I guess Chris Edwards knows what he is talking about :)
I am currently working on the video review. Maybe something will pop up there and I will then update this written review. Please subscribe to our YouTube channel to make sure you don’t miss it.
Where to buy?
Right now, the racquet is not yet available in Europe (it should be in March, but I don’t have an exact date). You can get it from Tennis Warehouse for now. We will update this page when it becomes available in more places.
What are your thoughts Multifilament String for this frame? I just received my Tfight 300 with NRG2 (black) at 55 lbs and it feels great so far. I am curious about trying this frame with Triax or Velocity MLT as well.
Should be a good choice if you have any arm concerns. Triax will be a bit stiffer and more controlled than the other two.
