Dubai, a city known for its huge skyscrapers and generally luxurious lifestyle, is also taking big steps into the world of sports, and not at least tennis. The biggest tournament here is the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, an ATP500 event, won by Stefanos Tsitsipas in 2025.

Dubai is maybe not for everyone, but it surely has the sunshine and world-class tennis courts! There are also a lot of academies, community courts, training with pro’s and a growing number of amateur players hitting the courts in Dubai.

For travellers who want to mix their vacation with some serious (or not-so-serious) racket time, the tennis hotels in Dubai offer some truly unique experiences.

Below we list some of the top tennis hotels in Dubai, however, this list could have been much longer.

Tennis in Dubai

Tennis in Dubai is becoming a lifestyle with growing number of courts around the city. The cityโ€™s hosting of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships since 1993 has put it on the tennis map, with the Dubai Tennis Stadium being the stage for most big matches. The UAE Tennis Federation supports a growing network of academies and clubs, like CF Tennis Academy and Tennis 360.

We’ve tried several floodlit courts in residential communities such as Dubai Sports City and there’s also elite training programs and a lot of coaching opportunities.

For visitors, there are plenty of hotels in Dubai with great tennis courts. We’ve included some of the major top resorts and also some smaller, lesser known hotels with good tennis facilities.

Best Tennis Hotels in Dubai

1. Jumeirah Beach Hotel

  • Location: Jumeirah Beach Road, Umm Suqeim
  • Tennis Offerings: Six outdoor hard courts (championship standard, floodlit for night play)

This iconic wave-shaped hotel isnโ€™t just nice to look at, itโ€™s a tennis playerโ€™s dream. The six courts are managed by the Mouratoglou Tennis Center, a name synonymous with elite training and pro ambassadors. Guests can book private lessons, join group clinics or rent courts for a casual game. Programs cater to all levels, from kids as young as 3 to competitive adults, and thereโ€™s a good community feel with social mixers and mini-tournaments.

Also, youโ€™re steps from the beach, with unlimited access to Wild Wadi Waterpark thrown in. After your match, check out one of the 15+ dining spots or the Talise Spa.

2. Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah

  • Location: East Crescent Road, Palm Jumeirah
  • Tennis Offerings: One outdoor hard court

Located on the Palm Jumeirah with super views of the Arabian Gulf, this hotel offers a quality court partnered with Rackets Academy. You can rent them by the hour or book private/semi-private lessons with certified coaches. Tennis gear and all equipment is also available for rent. Note that the tennis court is not always included with the room so you might have to pay extra to book it.

3. The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai

  • Location: Jumeirah Beach Residence (JBR), The Walk
  • Tennis Offerings: Four outdoor courts

Found along JBRโ€™s busy beachfront, The Ritz-Carlton is a good resort if you’ve come to play some tennis in Dubai. The four courts are available for guest use, with equipment rental and coaching through their in-house tennis academy. They offer everything from beginner lessons to advanced clinics, plus junior programs for ages 4-18. You can even try beach tennis for something different.

4. Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort & Spa

  • Location: East Crescent Road, Palm Jumeirah
  • Tennis Offerings: Indoor and outdoor courts

Indoor tennis in Dubai? Good idea, especially when the summer heat kicks in. Located on the rooftop of the resortโ€™s sports center, these courts are a rare find, offering year-round play managed by Rackets Academy. A tennis ball machine is available for solo practice.

Itโ€™s slightly quieter here than at the Palm but just as classy.

10. Copthorne Hotel Dubai

  • Location: Port Saeed, Deira
  • Tennis Offerings: One outdoor hard court

In the older, grittier Deira district, this mid-range hotel has a single court thatโ€™s well-kept and floodlit.
