HEAD is bringing two new Prestige frames to the market this October, with the iPrestige MP 2.0 and Prestige Limited set to launch globally on October 1.
The release draws heavily on the history of the Prestige line, especially the racquets associated with legends such as Arnaud Clement, Gustavo Kuerten and Goran Ivanisevic. HEAD describes the launch as “A Legacy Reborn,” showing the two new frames as modern interpretations of a design that has long been associated with control-oriented tennis.
The two racquets take different approaches though. Let’s look at what we can expect for the 1st October launch from HEAD.

iPrestige MP 2.0
The iPrestige MP 2.0 is the more demanding of the two new models on paper. It features a 95 in² head, a dense 18×20 string pattern, and a 320g weight with a 310mm head-light balance.
This racquet is clearly aimed at advanced tournament-level players who can generate decent racquet-head speed and are comfortable with a relatively demanding setup.
The combination of a relatively small head, dense string pattern and 320g weight should make the iPrestige MP 2.0 particularly interesting to players who prioritise precision and a more traditional response over easy power.
This frame should give you good control and stability for flat hitting, volleys and serves. It will not provide max forgiveness but it will deliver great precision and feel for many player types.
Prestige Limited
The Prestige Limited takes a different route. It has a 99 in² head, an open 16×19 string pattern, and a 300g weight with a 320mm head-light balance. It shares specs with the previous HEAD Prestige MP L from 2023.
That makes it 20g lighter than the iPrestige MP 2.0 and gives it a larger hitting area and more open string pattern. It’s built on its 334 mold and claims to be a version of the Prestige design aimed at today’s advanced player.
Rather than attempting to replicate the demanding characteristics of the iPrestige MP 2.0, it appears designed to retain some of the Prestige’s traditional character while making the overall package easier to swing.

The Prestige Limited feature HEAD’s Hy-Bor and Auxetic 2.0 tech, to improve stability and enhance feedback, while the iPrestige MP 2.0 retains the tech of the old-school frame with the piezo fibers (Intellifibers).
Both racquets also retain the full cap construction associated with the Prestige line to produce the resulting impact feel and the distinctive “whistling” sound that has become part of the Prestige.
We will playtest and review the new Prestige racquets here on Tennisnerd and our Youtube channel shortly, so check back for that! You can also read our previous review of the 2023 HEAD Prestige racquet.
