On Saturday we’ll see 3rd ranked Carlos Alcaraz face 21 ranked Hubert Hurkacz in the semifinals at the ABN AMRO (ATP Rotterdam). This should be a great match to watch, let’s look a bit closer at the stats ahead of this game and our predictions of course.

Finally, on Friday, the Pole battled Andrey Rublev for two hours and 23 minutes before winning 6-7, 6-3, 6-4. It was an impressive showing by Hurkacz, especially his serves, with 17 aces with only one double fault.

This will be the fourth meeting between these two players and even though Alcaraz is leading 3-0, we’ve seen three tough matches. It was 7-6, 7-6 at the 2022 Miami Open, 3-6, 7-6, 7-6 at the 2023 Canada Open and 2-6, 7-6, 6-3 at the semi’s of the 2023 Cincinnati Open.

The bookies favour Alcaraz a bit too much in the odds this time. This will be the first proper test for the Spaniard this week and he’s up against a really good indoor hard court player in Hurkacz.
Alcaraz is showing good form but is at times an inconsistent player and so far in his already very successful career, he has zero titles indoors.
