If you have seen this name more on tour recently, it is because there are now two Kudermetova sisters playing. The younger one is Polina, who recently had a very good showing with a final appearance against Aryna Sabalenka in Brisbane.
Polina Kudermetovaโs tennis racquet
Like many other professionals, Kudermetova is endorsing the Wilson Blade v9 but seems to be using a pro stock frame underneath the paint. Her string pattern is 16×18 and based on the looks, she could very well be using the Steam 100, which is very popular on the WTA tour in general.
It is tough to guess her strings from the distance, as there seems to be no proven information on her setup yet, but it looks like a possible hybrid setup.

Outlook for Polina Kudermetova
It seems that the young career of Polina is up to a very good start and her new ranking of No. 57 will give her a lot of chances to play WTA 250 and 500 events going forward. As we have witnessed, the WTA tour is very volatile in the top 100 and if you are able to string together results, there is the chance you can rise very quickly. For Kudermetova to have the kind of success that her older sister had before, she will have to work hard nevertheless, to improve and hopefully entertain us on tour more going forward.
