Following two winning bets yesterday we try again today with two more quarterfinal predictions in Rome, Jannik Sinner vs Casper Ruud and Hubert Hurkacz vs Tommy Paul.

Sinner vs. Ruud

15.05.2025, 19:00 CEST
Head-to-Head: 4-0

Jannik Sinner seem to be back in form and enters the match on a 27-match winning streak. This tournament marks his return to the court following a three-month suspension due to anti-doping procedural issues. In Rome, he started with a routine straight-sets win over Navone, followed by another straight-sets victory against de Jong, despite being broken twice. In the round of 16, Cerundolo put up strong resistance but Sinner still won in two sets.

Casper Ruud is also in top form with nine consecutive wins. He recently captured the Madrid Masters title, beating Draper in the final. In Rome, he had a tough start against Bublik in round two, dropping the second set before recovering well. Berrettini retired during their third-round match. In the round of 16, Ruud beat Munar in straight sets, saving both breakpoints faced. More on Casper Ruud’s racquet.

Best Bet

Bookmakers have Sinner as the favourite, and itโ€™s a logical call. Heโ€™s maintained his level despite the recent layoff. Ruud, on the other hand, has endured several tough matches in recent weeks and will have had less recovery time due to a delayed match.

With that in mind, Sinner covering the game spread offers solid value.

Value Bet / Best Odds: Jannik Sinner -3.5 games handicap @ odds 1.67, -150 or 4/6.

Hurkacz vs. Paul

15.05.2025, 13:00 CEST
Head-to-Head: 3-2

Hubert Hurkacz has won three of his last five matches. He cruised past Martinez in the opening round, rallying from 2-5 in the second set and saving a set point. Against Giron in the third round, he prevailed in a hard-fought three-set battle. In the round of 16, he faced Mensik in a three-hour thriller, eventually winning a deciding-set tiebreak after trailing 0-3.

Tommy Paul has won four of his last five matches. He began his Rome campaign with a comfortable straight-sets win over Bautista-Agut, not facing a single breakpoint. His biggest test came against Machac in the third round, where he emerged victorious in a tight three-set battle. In the round of 16, Paul upset de Minaur, recovering quickly after an early break and winning in straight sets.

Best Bet

Paul is the slight favourite according to the tennis betting odds, and we agree. Heโ€™s looked solid all week and has handled pressure moments well. Hurkacz had a manageable draw but struggled at times.

Expect Paul to control the match and win convincingly.

Value Bet / Best Odds: Tommy Paul -3.5 games handicap @ odds 2.00, +100 or 1/1.
