The Dunlop CX 200 gets an elegant limited edition cosmetic and a dense string pattern option. I have tried the 18/20 version with a few different players.
The Dunlop CX 200 Limited Edition is offered in both 16/19 and 18/20 string patterns. It offers great control and feel for players looking for a Blade-style racquet with even more precision and room for customization.

Specs
The specifications are from Tennis Warehouse but align well with my own measurements on the Metortune machine. The metric that stands out is the low swing weight. This has been the case with all Dunlop CX 200 racquets I have measured. I don’t quite understand why they come in at 270-275 unstrung swing weight, which means that you will need to add some weight for stability and power when playing stronger players. The benefit is that it gives you room to customize, but since most players are not into customizing, it is a strange spec to me.

PowerGrid Stringtech+ – Widens cross spacing for enhanced spin and power.
Variable stiffness profile – Softer inner frame to improve dwell time. Stiffer face for added stability.
Vibroshield – Elastomer in hoop and shaft to absorb vibrations for smoother feel.
Playability

As said above, the Dunlop CX 200 18/20 delivers surgical precision and plush feel. But for most advanced players, you will need to customize it with plenty of weight in the hoop. In stock form, it is too low-powered to cut it against advanced players because your shots will likely lack power and weight. This is similar to their Dunlop CX 200 Tour racquets.
If you do add weight to the racquet, it does play like a scalpel and classical players with flatter strokes that like to feel the ball and play an all-court game, will likely enjoy this one.
There is some tough competition in this segment, though. The Blade 98 V9 18/20, the HEAD Prestige Pro, the Solinco Whiteout 18/20 and the Yonex Percept 97D will all give you more on the ball without the need to customize (some of these are heavier, though).
I would get this racquet if you are looking for a precision tool with lots of room to tweak it to your specs. Or if you just want the lowest power possible so you can swing at the ball like a madman without it going out.
Buyer Tip: Add weight around the hoop to enhance plow-through and stability. Aim for strategic placement (e.g., 3 and 9 o’clock and probably also 12) and consider pairing with a hybrid setup for added resilience and power.
Who Should Use It?
Ideal for:
- Baseliners or serve-and-volleyers who value feel, precision, and crisp control.
- Players with solid technique and condensed swings who want a “you-get-what-you-deserve” racquet.
- Those who appreciate the vintage-inspired aesthetic and are ready to customize for modern performance.
Less ideal for:
- Players needing easy power or big, forgiving sweet spots.
- Those with slower swing speeds who prefer plow-through delivered straight from the factory.
Summary

| Customization | Receptive to weight and string changes |
| Aesthetic & Vibe | Elegant, restrained design with nods to classic era racquets. |
| Best For | Advanced players, control specialists, fans of traditional racquet feel. |
| Not For | Power seekers, beginners, or those preferring generous forgiveness. |
Conclusion
The Dunlop CX 200 18×20 Limited Edition is a blend of heritage aesthetics and high-precision player performance. It rewards those who bring energy, discipline, and intention to their swings. But without some thoughtful customization, it may underdeliver in power and stability.
For readers who relish control-oriented gear, adore customization, and want a racquet that looks as sharp as it plays, this racquet deserves a demo (and perhaps a few grams of lead tape.)
