Kuikma UNRUPT Pro tennis shoes 2026

Decathlon’s tennis brand Kuikma has launched a new tennis shoe line designed with one clear mission: outlast everything else on the court. The UNRUPT Pro, released in January 2026 alongside the Australian Open, is built for players who truly test their shoes with aggressive footwork, hard slides and a lot of court coverage.

We made a small test ourselves of the new Unrupt Pro and liked it right away. Obviously we would need to try them during a longer period to give any feedback on durability. What we can say though is that it’s very comfortable from the first steps and doesn’t feel “heavy” on the foot even though it’s a shoe focusing on stability and durability. I would also say it’s true to size as I use a 43 here and that’s my standard size for shoes in general.

Here’s more details about Decathlon’s latest tennis shoe.

Built for Players Who Push Their Limits

Decathlon didn’t design the UNRUPT Pro in a lab. Their design teams traveled across Europe to meet real players on the courts. They focused specifically on high-impact players: those who slide hard, brake aggressively and push their footwear to the absolute limit.

The result is a shoe with the tagline “Play without holding back” and the design philosophy “feels like day one, match after match.”

Key Technologies: RUBLAST and Dual-Density Construction

At the heart of the UNRUPT Pro’s durability is RUBLAST technology combined with a dual-density sole architecture. This means thicker, denser rubber is concentrated in the high-friction zones where tennis shoes typically wear out first: the toe drag area and the outer sole.

The upper features multiple reinforcements:

  • Reinforced rubber forefoot for toe draggers
  • Hidden lace eyelets to prevent lace breakage during low slides
  • Added ankle protection for aggressive lateral movements
  • KPU reinforcements in strategic wear zones

Stability and Comfort Features

While durability is the headline, stability runs a close second. The UNRUPT Pro includes:

TPU side reinforcement – Locks the foot in place during explosive lateral sprints and directional changes. This prevents the foot from rolling during hard cuts.

EVA midsole – Absorbs impact and protects joints during long rallies. Testers described the cushioning as “optimal” and “well-balanced – not too soft, not too hard.”

Enveloping construction – The shoe wraps around the foot for better support without restricting movement. Kuikma calls it “flexible armour.”

Lined upper – Provides a comfortable fit right out of the box.

The UNRUPT line comes in two versions, the Unrupt Pro and Unrupt Team (Lighter construction and better breathability)

It seems as the Pro model generally offers more security than the lighter Team model and is better suited for players with high training intensity.

Performance on Court

Right out of the box, the material quality feels top-tier with a clean construction and a mix of synthetic and breathable mesh that feels every bit as premium as the big-name brands I’ve worn in the past. When I tested the omni-court sole across the hard courts, the traction proved very reliable, and it will allow basically any type of player to control the slides well.

The stability is maybe the main strong point for the UNRUPT Pro. I felt completely secure during aggressive changes of direction without the shoe ever feeling restrictive or clunky. While I am still in the early stages of long-term testing, the durability looks promising because you can physically see that the reinforcements in high-wear zones are noticeably thicker and tougher than standard tennis shoes.

The cushioning feels well balanced, it isn’t pillowy or mushy, but it provides solid joint protection during heavy landings and is responsive rather than just soft. If I had to name one trade-off, it’s that the Pro model definitely runs a bit warmer than the lighter Team version. All those extra stability layers and reinforcements mean there is a little less airflow, but this is kind of expected.

Who Is It For?

The UNRUPT Pro is built for:

  • Aggressive baseliners who slide frequently
  • Heavy hitters who wear through shoes quickly
  • Competitive players training multiple times per week
  • Budget-conscious players who want durability without paying premium prices

Kuikma’s Tennis Push

The UNRUPT Pro is part of Kuikma’s broader expansion in tennis. Decathlon recently rebranded their tennis line from Artengo to Kuikma and now sponsors ATP player Gael Monfils. The brand is positioning itself as a serious tennis performance option, not just a budget alternative.

The UNRUPT line (which also includes clay-court specific versions and junior models) represents Kuikma’s commitment to challenging the established brands on performance while maintaining significantly lower prices.

The UNRUPT Pro is available in multiple colorways including white/black/grey, purple/cosmic, and others. Sizes run from 39-48 for men and 36-42 for women. Clay court and all-court versions are both available.

You can find them at Decathlon stores (also online).

At just over 100 eur, the UNRUPT Pro offers a good value proposition for players who prioritise durability and stability. While it may not have the brand cachet of Nike, Asics, or adidas tennis shoes, the construction quality, targeted reinforcements and early tester feedback suggest Decathlon has created a legitimate performance tennis shoe.

Just remember: it’s built for aggressive play, not lightweight speed, so expect a slightly (just slightly) heavier, more supportive feel than minimal racing shoes.
