Yonex VCORE 2026

Written by: Jonas Eriksson | December 14, 2025

The new Yonex VCORE 2026 racquets have been revealed and we are excited to start testing them. The VCORE is in its 8th generation with a focus on sweet spot, snapback, speed and stability.

I have to give Yonex kudos, no matter what the Tennisnerd verdict will be when we start play-testing these racquets, for daring to innovate and change molds and layups for every generation of their racquets. Not all brands do that and it can, of course, backfire. Let’s hope the new VCOREs play as well as they look.

Talking about the looks, the glossy red looks enticing to me and is an update compared to the previous generation, but the feedback around the design has so far been a bit mixed. But what matters most is the playability, not the looks.

The new Yonex 2026 racquets are available for pre-sale at Tennis Warehouse.

What’s New in the 2026 VCORE?

Yonex’s latest redesign focuses on maximizing spin performance without sacrificing stability or feel:

  • Largest sweet spot in VCORE history thanks to updated ISOMETRIC® shape and reshaped upper frame.
  • Enhanced grommet design for greater string movement and stronger snapback — giving easier access to high RPM spin.
  • Refined aerodynamics, reducing air resistance for quicker swing speeds and smoother racquet acceleration.
  • Yonex’s latest carbon tech throughout the frame and shaft to balance stability, power, and feel.

Together, these changes make the 2026 VCORE line feel more forgiving than previous generations, while still offering top-end spin and precision.

  1. I think 100D is 16×20? Also I wonder if it would be more demanding to use than the 98 given the larger racket face and thicker beam…

  2. How can I become a tester of new racquets. I’m 76 and play 3 times or more each week. I am a (USTA) 4.O player. THANKS Gordy.

    1. I think you can ask for demos from Tennis Warehouse or your local shop. If you mean more publically, you need to write reviews or setup a youtube channel with a decent reach for the brands to send you demos

  3. When will the 98L be released in the us? Did you hit with it and if so what are your thoughts? Ezone 100 was just too heavy for me personally tho I love it.

  4. Hi,

I play with a 2023 vcore 100 but I was a big fan of the 2021 100s. I found the 2021 very quick through the air, direct feeling but less stable. 2023 VCore was a lot slower to move through the air because of the head shape. How does V8 compare to them?

Also, if there’s anyone selling 2x 2021 100s in good condition, I would be interested.
