Thiago Seyboth Wild’s Tennis Racquet

Seyboth Wild burst into fame at last year’s French Open when he defeated Daniil Medvedev in the first round. He is considered a talent that has taken a little longer to develop than a player like Fils. He plays an even heavier spec of a racquet with his Wilson H22 pro stock (you can buy this mold as a Wilson Blade Pro). Thanks to Raquetes E Cia for publishing the specifications on their Instagram account. Strung with Luxilon 4G, his racquets are 364 grams, 32.4 cm balance, and 358 swing weight.

Bio and Career

Thiago Seyboth Wild was born on 10th March 2000 in Paraná, Brazil. His father was running many tennis academies in Brazil and Thiago started playing already at the age of four.

Seyboth Wild turned pro in 2018 and won a junior Grand Slam at the 2018 US Open, only the second of Brazilian tennis players to achieve this.

2019 saw him win his first ATP Challenger title and the following year Thiago got his first ATP Main Tour title at the the ATP 250 in Santiago where he defeated Casper Ruud in three sets in the final. THis year, 2020, was mostly interrupted by the Covid pandemic but just after this, Seyboth Wild made his major debut at the US Open in September.

In the coming years, the Brazilian had a dip in form, until 2023 when he won four Challenger titles and also had successful runs in doubles. The break into the world top 100 came after his Challenger win in Como, Italy.

2024 has seen Thiago Seyboth Wild improve his game and also climbed the rankings. This is the year where he is seriously competing in the big events, reaching his first ATP 500 level quarterfinal and got his first wins at Masters tournaments.

Thiago archived his career high rank of 58 in May 2024.
