Otto Virtanen’s tennis racquet is a Wilson Blade Pro called H22 in pro stock code lingo. He uses an 18/20 string pattern. Bio and Career

Otto Virtanen was born on June 21st, 2001, in Hyvinkรครค, Finland, and he started playing tennis at the age of 4.

Virtanenโ€™s junior career was impressive, winning the 2018 Wimbledon boys doubles title and the 2018 Orange Bowl singles title. After having turned pro the same year, his professional breakthrough came four years later in 2022 with his first ATP Challenger title at the Trofeo Faipโ€“Perrel in Bergamo, getting him into the Top 200.

In 2023, he added two more Challenger titles in Lugano and Lille. His sixth Challenger title in Brest 2024, where he saved three match points, pushed him into the top 100 making him the 10th player in Challenger history to win his first six finals. His Grand Slam debut came at the 2023 US Open via qualifying, and he earned his first Major win at Wimbledon 2024, defeating Max Purcell 6-3, 6-2, 6-2.

His biggest career win so far came in 2025 at the Marseille Open, when he beat Sebastian Korda 6-7(3), 7-6(4), 6-4, marking his first top 30 victory.

Currently the best Finnish player on tour and he was a key figure in Finlandโ€™s historic 2024 Davis Cup Final Four run.

Virtanen reached a career-high ATP singles ranking of no 91 in November 2024, and no 243 in doubles in June 2023.
