Diego Dedura-Palomero is a talented player from Germany who has quickly made a name for himself as one of the most promising young talents on the tour. What is his current racquet and gear?
Diego Dedura’s tennis racquet
Dedura’s tennis racquet is popular on the ATP Tour. We have previously talked about how many players use the Babolat Pure Aero 98 2023 edition strung with either RPM Team or RPM Blast and here is another player with that combo. What is it that makes the Aero 98 so attractive for pros? It is the combination of a stiff frame with lots of spin potential and still a 16/20 pattern that provides good directional control. It can be firm on the arm, so recreational players should be careful stringing this racquet above 22.5 kg or 50 lbs, but you can still play it at a pretty low tension.
There is a new Aero 98 2026, which has a bit more power but a slightly different feel.
