Kovacevic’s racquet is a Wilson Blade 98 V9 16/19. But as usual with pro player racquets, it is difficult to know what is actually underneath the cosmetic. In his college years, he used a Blade 98 CV and I would assume he is still with that model.
Like almost all pros, he customized his racquets, but we are unaware of his exact specifications. He string his Blade with what looks like Luxilon 4G. Before that he used Alu Power and he has also played a hybrid of Alu Power and Element. Bio and Career
Aleksandar Kovacevic was born on August 29th, 1998, in New York to Serbian parents. he grew up on the Upper West Side of New York City and began playing tennis at the age five in Central Park, NY.
He turned pro after a successful college career at the University of Illinois, where he was a two-time All-American. His career-high singles ranking reached No. 72 in September 2024. Kovacevic made his ATP Tour main draw debut in 2022 at the Korea Open, reaching the semifinals as a lucky loser.
Kovacevic secured his first Challenger title in 2023 at the Cleveland Open, followed by another in Waco, Texas. His first Grand Slam match win came at the 2024 Australian Open.
Kovacevic reached the final of the 2025 ATP Montpellier, defeating top-10 player Andrey Rublev in the semi’s, which was significant milestone in his career. The 2025 season was overall a big step for Aleksandar as he reached his career high rank of 54, will we see him in the top 50 in 2026?
