The final ATP Masters 1000 of the season is underway. Qualifying for the Rolex Paris Masters began today at Paris La Défense Arena, with the main draw running from Monday 2 to Sunday 8 November.

This year’s edition has a very different look. Defending champion Jannik Sinner has ended his season with a right knee injury, and last year’s runner-up Félix Auger-Aliassime is also out. That leaves new world No. 1 Alexander Zverev as top seed, with Carlos Alcaraz seeded second. With the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin straight after, Paris is the last chance to collect big ranking points this year. Check also our betting tips for the 2026 Paris Masters.

Schedule

The singles final is on Sunday 8 November, not before 3 p.m. local time. All times are Paris time (CET).

Top players and the draw

Zverev and Alcaraz sit at opposite ends of the draw, so they can only meet in the final. The top eight seeds receive first-round byes in the 56-player field.

  • Alexander Zverev (1): The 2024 Paris champion will be honoured with an ATP ceremony for reaching No. 1. He opens against the winner of Lorenzo Musetti vs Hubert Hurkacz, with Learner Tien (15) a possible third-round opponent and Novak Djokovic or Alex de Minaur projected in the quarter-finals.
  • Carlos Alcaraz (2): Paris is the one big indoor title missing from his CV; his best result here is a quarter-final. A four-month wrist layoff means he arrives fresher than usual, but his opener is tricky: Alex Michelsen or Jiri Lehecka, likely on Thursday.
  • Novak Djokovic (10): The record seven-time champion opens against Monaco’s Valentin Vacherot. Tournament director Cédric Pioline has hinted this could be one of Djokovic’s last visits to Paris.
  • Ben Shelton (3), Daniil Medvedev and Flavio Cobolli lead the chasing pack, with Alex de Minaur (8) also seeded.
  • Home hopes: Arthur Fils, Ugo Humbert and Arthur Gea lead the French charge. No Frenchman has won the title since Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 2008.

Alongside Sinner and Auger-Aliassime, Alexander Bublik, Joao Fonseca and Jakub Mensik withdrew from the entry list. Holger Rune is in the draw on a protected ranking.
