It’s clear that most tennis players, from recreational to pro’s, are now taking almost as much interest in their tennis wear as racquet and strings. We recently wrote about the latest tech trends in sports wear and in the last few years we’ve seen several smaller brands trying to take on the big guys with great qualities and styles for their tennis apparel collections.

Summary and some personal comments

I am not too surprised to see Wilson win this poll as they have made huge strides of late in their apparel game. They have focused on creating timeless designs with good-quality fabrics and from what I heard, they managed to hire some good designers from other brands a while ago.
Nike is still a legend in the game, but their collections of late, after Roger and Rafa retired, have not been that exciting. Maybe Carlitos collab with Cactus Jack can spark some more interest, but it seems like they are not doing so well also business-wise.
Adidas is maybe not the most exciting, but they do keep it pretty steady. Not over- or underdelivering in my opinion.
Same can be said for Lacoste, being a little more on of a premium price point and brand.
Not sure what brands we forgot in “other”, but Nordicdots are doing well with their clean and fresh collections.
ON have great stars as ambassadors, but not sure their apparel is quite doing them justice.
I expected Lululemon to have more fans among the tenns nerds, but we will see if things change if they make a stronger push as a tennis brand
I like Lacoste but also Le Coq Sportif makes great tennis apparel.
Nike US Open kit better was much better, as where the lastest kits… I hope Nike kits will improve. Adidas good but too simple…
Even though Nike is missing the mark at times recently with their colour choices and styling, the historical as well as current stuff (Alcaraz USO 2026 for example) are very iconic!
Le Coq Sportif for clothing, premium…for shoes Asics ?
I love most of ON’s kits but a special one for me is the apc and asics collab from last years Monte Carlo. Lorenzo musettis cut of tee tank top is problably the best shirt ever.

Nike has overall the best design and their shorts are the best I’ve been using.
On shoes, shorts and socks and a baggy cotton t shirt! Can’t go wrong (unless it is really humid) haha
Lacoste is easily the best quality tennis apparel brand & I’ve been wearing it for several years now and the quality is a cut above any other brand I’ve worn (Mostly Nike, Adidas, Wilson, Fila, New Balance, Head & Prince). Head is very under rated & I’d slot them in at No. 2.
Nike has been so lazy recently, but was so sick in the 90s!
We need more classical looks on performance apparel….
and let’s not forget some iconic brands like Ellesse and Diadora ?
I’ve been really impressed with the rebrand for Wilson these past couple years. They make simple but classy, elegant clothing. Also love the rise of NordicDots for similar reasons, nothing to flashy, just well coordinated.

Wilson is crushing the fashion
For me its lacoste with a classic style that is timeless on the tenniscourt. It also has an amazing quality which means you can enjoy it for multiple years. Second place will be Wilson in terms of style but not a lot of clothing available in the Netherlands.
Adidas has been killing it lately. Simple classic design that anyone can wear. Materials wise, the most comfortable
Lacoste for sure ! the feel is Premium and looks amazing. Closely followed by Nike. ON is getting there slowly and surely. They need to be a bit bold with their colours and not be afraid to experiment.

Uniqlo is fantastic. Any time I can find a sale for their Dry-EX sport apparel, I always grab a few. Stylish, breathable, and light, and generally much less expensive than a Nike, Adidas, Wilson. I’m a little surprised I don’t see it more, both recreationally and on tour. Side note: Why hasn’t Uniqlo released more RF items?
