As Stan Wawrinka enters the final chapter of his career, Yonex is marking the occasion with a collection of apparel built around one of the most popular players of the past two decades.

The “Stan The Man” collection combines performance tennis clothing with more casual pieces, with several designs drawing on Wawrinka’s career and his long association with Yonex. The range includes everything from performance polos and shorts to T-shirts, a crewneck and hoodie, with different pieces taking quite different approaches to the farewell theme.

Rather than being a single match outfit, the collection is closer to a capsule wardrobe for Wawrinka fans, mixing court-ready apparel with pieces intended for everyday wear.

Stan Performance Polo Shirt

One of the more interesting pieces in the collection is the Stan Performance Polo Shirt.

The polo uses a blue-to-green ombré gradient inspired by Yonex’s brand colors, combined with a tonal botanical-inspired graphic across the body. It has a traditional polo collar and button placket, while a chest pocket carries the Yonex logo.

There are also several performance-focused details, including ventilated mesh panels under the sleeves, side vents and lightweight moisture-wicking fabric. A plaid detail inside the collar and a small Wawrinka graphic at the back of the neck provide some of the more personal touches.

Stan Performance Crewneck

The Stan Performance Crewneck takes a different approach. Its steel-blue-to-deep-navy gradient gives the shirt a more subdued look, with black raglan sleeves providing contrast.

The details are where the Wawrinka connection becomes more apparent. The shirt includes plaid inner collar tape, a Henley-style button placket and reflective detailing on the back yoke.

Stan Passion T-Shirt

The Stan Passion T-Shirt is one of the more casual options in the collection and puts the emphasis on the “Stan The Man” identity rather than technical tennis design. Buy it here.

There is also a more overtly commemorative Stan The Man T-Shirt, with a large brushstroke-style “Stan The Man” graphic across the back and a tonal Wawrinka graphic on the front left chest.

The adult version is offered in black and white colorways, with the graphics changing between the two versions. It is made from lightweight, moisture-wicking performance fabric, so despite its more casual appearance, it can still be used for training or on court.

A junior version is also available, carrying the same general graphic treatment in junior sizing.

Stan Performance Shorts

The collection is rounded out with Stan Performance Shorts, providing a matching performance option for the collection’s tops.

The shorts sit alongside the more distinctive Stan Signature Shorts, giving the range another nod to Wawrinka’s history with Yonex.

Hoodie and Off-Court Pieces

For something away from the court, the Stan The Man Hoodie offers a more traditional casual option. It uses a mid-weight fleece construction and incorporates plaid detailing inside the hood, along with a kangaroo pocket and ribbed cuffs and hem.

There is a fairly broad mix of styles here, from the technical Performance Polo Shirt and Performance Crewneck to the more casual Stan Passion T-Shirt and hoodie.

There are also several recurring details tying the pieces together, particularly the plaid motif and the use of gradients and graphic elements. Some designs are relatively understated, while others make the Wawrinka connection much more obvious.

Wawrinka has been with Yonex since 2012, and the company describes its relationship with him as spanning more than 14 years. Yonex’s current tribute to the Swiss player describes the collection as a commemorative range celebrating his final chapter on tour.
