World No. 2 Jannik Sinner and World No. 3 Alexander Zverev, will face off in a great final at the ATP 500 event in Vienna. This final is a rematch of the 2025 Australian Open final, which Sinner won in straight sets for his third major title.
Head-to-Head (H2H): Zverev leads 4-3
While Zverev holds the slight advantage in their career meetings, Sinner has won their last two encounters: a third-set tiebreaker victory in Cincinnati 2024 and the dominant straight-sets win in the Australian Open final earlier this year.
Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Zverev
The top-seeded Italian has been in crazy good form, continuing his remarkable season that features an impressive 47-6 record. He has not dropped a set all week in Vienna, securing straight-sets wins over Daniel Altmaier, Flavio Cobolli, Alexander Bublik and Alex de Minaur in the semi-finals. Sinner is also riding a remarkable 20-match winning streak on indoor hard courts and is aiming for his fourth title of the season, and his second in Vienna (he won the title in 2023).
For Zverev, the second seed’s campaign has been more of a grind. He narrowly escaped his first-round match against Jake Fearnley in a three-set tiebreaker but has since found his rhythm. Zverev recorded straight-set victories over Matteo Arnaldi and a very convincing performance against Lorenzo Musetti in the semi-finals (6-4, 7-5), a player who had troubled him recently. He also benefitted from a walkover from Tallon Griekspoor in the quarterfinals.
Betting Predictions
Zverev’s best chance lies in his massive first serve and maintaining aggressive play, trying to prevent Sinner from settling into forehand-to-forehand rallies.
Sinner won their last two meetings and there are not really many reasons why he wouldn’t win a third. His level is too good at the moment, not at least on indoor courts, and he enters the match as big favorite
“Sasha” Zverev’s form has been very up and down in recent months and we saw quite a few of forehand errors in the win over Musetti. He might be able to keep it tight here today but I can not see him cause an upset against the Italian.
Prediction: Jannik Sinner to win in two sets.
