In Buenos Aires he just lost in the final against Carlos Alcaraz, who has been unstoppable since returning from injury. However, things haven’t been easy for Norrie, who has been playing very close matches in every round. His last result against Monteiro is another good example of that, with Norrie winning in two very close sets against the home favorite.
Looking at Norrie’s numbers in the previous round, he was able to create 21 break point opportunities, but only converted five of those. On the other hand, he dropped serve three times and needed six match points to get the job done.
In the next round he will face Hugo Dellien, who is enjoying a great start to the season after missing the last four months of 2022 due to an elbow injury.
