They’ve been out on the market for a little while, but now also available at Pickleball Warehouse. Let’s look closer at the Pickleball Apes Pulse series of paddles that gives us some innovative technologies and Pickleball Apes are known for their innovative paddle designs. The three different variations are the Pulse V, Pulse S and the Pulse E.
All three paddles have the same build, materials and weight (just over 8 oz). Overall they use some new materials and construction techniques that really improves your control, not at least. In our opinion, this is a great paddle to try for intermediate to advanced players.

The foam has been increased around the edges and that will give you a big, nice sweet spot, stability and more predictable shot response.
The 16.5 mm core gives a bit more control and note their Carbon Fiber Ring technology with three super thin layers of carbon fiber rings layered around the edge of the paddle. This will give even further stability and also make the paddle more durable.
The surface area is a bit different with their so called Poly Aramid Weave (a combination of Kevlar and nylon) that provides a really controlled spin and a crisp response. Can feel a bit stiff at first but is gradually softening after play.
So what’s the difference between the three models?
Pulse V
This is the wide-body, standard shape version of the Pulse paddles and it has a rather unusual 15.8 in length together with a 8.1 in width. It also features a long handle, 5.5 in, and works great for two hands on the paddle.
If you like the speedy feel of this kind of design and a compact and control-oriented paddle, the Pulse V might be a good option.

Pulse S
On to the hybrid design of this series with the Pickleball Apes Pulse S version. This is close to an elongated shape with its 16.4 inches and also comes with a long 5.5 in handle.
Works well for players who want a paddle that can adapt to different game situations and some extra stability.

Pulse E
Finally the elongated paddles from the Pulse series, the Pulse E. With a narrower span, 7 in width and a full 17 inches long, this one should be a good option if you’re a previous tennis player. With the really long handle of 6.25 in it’s well suited for the two handed backhand.
The Pulse E gives a good reach and length for overall power.
