We have previously written about the new Live Line Calling system from Swingvision and now they introduce their complete Smart Court System which is more of a permanent solution that works well for both tennis and pickleball courts.

The AI-powered sports technology company SwingVision claims to be around 97-99% correct in their line calling with their Live Line Calling system and they are now the Official Player and Ball Tracking App of Tennis Australia, the ITA and the LTA.

This fully automated and permanent setup eliminates the need for manual device positioning, as was previously needed.

SwingVision Smart Court System

The SwingVision Smart Court is an all-in-one, AI-driven solution designed to enhance the tennis experience through advanced technology. Unlike the original SwingVision app, which relies on a single mobile device mounted behind the court to track gameplay, the Smart Court system is a fixed installation integrated directly into tennis facilities. Players simply show up, sign in at a kiosk near the net post to start recording the session, and start playing.

Later in 2025, SwingVision will also start offering a 2-camera option, which will increase the accuracy for line calling even further.

One of the main features of the Smart Court system is its ability to provide real-time, automated line calls. Using high-frame-rate cameras and advanced algorithms, the system can detect whether a ball lands in or out with precision that, they claim, surpasses human judgment. The obvious advantage of this is of course the elimination of disputes during matches.

This system also tracks other performance metrics, like serve speed, shot placement, rally length and court positioning. Players can receive detailed breakdowns of their game, such as heat maps and win/error percentages.

The facilities can also use this system for advanced, and highly customisable, video analysis or live streaming.

For the tennis clubs, it means they have better options to organise tournaments & leagues, offer video analysis lessons or use other features such as local leaderboards. The SwingVision Smart Court system is of courseย weatherproof, and can also be installed on indoor courts.

As for requirements on the court, it’s not much:

  • 1 camera
  • 1 kiosk
  • 2 power cables
  • 1-hour installation time
