Some of the Biggest Movers

The biggest movements come from players who capitalised on the final tournaments of the year. Some notable ranks:

  • Felix Auger-Aliassime: The Canadian makes a significant jump, breaking into the Top 5 with a +3 spot jump to World No. 5, following his semifinal spot at the ATP Finals.
  • Ben Shelton: The young American star had an active season, reached a career-high No 5 ranking before dropping slightly to World No. 9, securing a place in the Top 10 at the end the year.
  • Learner Tien: A massive jump for the young American, soaring to World No. 28 following a super season.
  • Lorenzo Musetti: A strong indoor season cemented his place for now in the top 10, finishing at World no 8.
  • Alexander Bublik: The Kazakh player climbs to World No. 11, just shy of the Top 10, showing great consistency late in the season. Bublik was voted most improved player of the year, by Tennisnerd fans.
  • Valentin Vacherot: The Monégasque player made a massive late-season surge, not at least by winning the Shanghai Masters. Vacherot moved up to World No. 31, positioning himself perfectly to be a seeded player at the Australian Open in January.
  • Joao Fonseca: The Brazilian talent ends his breakout year inside the top 25, climbing to World No. 24. His rapid ascent within the Top 100 this year shows he is poised for even bigger things in 2026.
  • Jakub Mensik: A strong season saw the Czech player reach a career high rank of 16 before ending up at World no 19.
  • Joao Munar: The consistent Spaniard also climbed, reaching World No. 36 after a great run during the season.

Significant Drops

Some of the players that dropped in rankings, many of them due to injuries.

  • Daniil Medvedev drops points to land at World No. 13.
  • Casper Ruud also sees a dip, settling at World No. 12.
  • Stefanos Tsitsipas: The Greek star experienced a steep drop to finish the season at World No. 34, much due to on-going back problems.
  • Holger Rune: Due to injury and inactivity, Rune fell to World No. 15. This drop is likely temporary, as he showed great form earlier, but it means he will have a lower seeding in the early 2026 tournaments.
  • Karen Khachanov: After struggling to replicate his strong finish to the previous season, Khachanov slipped to finish at World No. 18.
