The player list for the 2024 Next Gen Finals are now complete with the last addition being 18-year-old Joao Fonseca, claiming the last spot.

The Next Gen ATP Finals is the last tournament of the year, before we await January and the start of the tour in Australia. Let’s have a look at the eight players that will battle in Jeddah, in this under-20-years tournament, being played from 18th December to 22nd December 2024 at King Abdullah Sports City in Saudi Arabia.

Fils to lead the line

The runner-up of the 2023 edition, Arthur Fils, was the first player to book his place at the finals and the world no 20 ranked will be favorite for the title this December.

Fils had a strong year with two ATP500 titles and wants to end the year in a great fashion, following last years final defeat to Hamad Medjedovic.

Two other players that will be in with a good chance are Alex Michelsen and Luca Van Assche.

Michelsen being the second-highest ranked player of the group, reached two big finals this season: Winston-Salem (Outdoor/Hard Court) and Newport (Outdoor/Grass).

A player to look out for is Czech talent Jakub Mensik, we will certainly hear a lot about him in the future! Mensik comes from a strong season with four top 10 victories.

Joining them in Jeddah, will be Shang Juncheng (China), Learner Tien (USA), Nishesh Basavareddy (France).
