The Wilson Clash V3 racquets have been revealed and will be out in January. This is what new in the popular Clash line.
I was fortunate to try the new Clash racquets during my trip to California (watch my vlog here) and I thought it was good that they move back towards the V1 Clash racquets as I thought they were better overall than V2. As you might already know about the Clash racquets, it is a comfort-oriented line that gives you a plush feel and still some power and spin thanks to the trampolining in the stringbed.

Wilson Clash V3 Tech
For the Clash V3, Wilson has added a technology called SI3D, which increases horizontal bending while maximizing vertical bending (for easier access to spin). Additionally, they also come with Hit Stabilizer technology for greater torsional stability. They have also changed the mold slightly in the shaft and the yoke.
Let’s look at the different Clash V3 models.
You can purchase them from our friends at Tennis Warehouse, Tennis Warehouse Europe, Tennis Only, Amazon or directly from Wilson.com
Below you have a video from our Youtube channel giving you a better idea of the cosmetic.
Wilson Clash Pro
The Wilson Clash Pro V3 is the heaviest model in the line. But they have reduced the weight of it from 310g unstrung to 305g unstrung. The swing weight is kind of perfect for advanced players and the 16/20 string pattern gives better directional control than the other racquets in the line.
Our first impressions were positive playing with the new Clash Pro. The trampoline-effect that can be somewhat frustrating felt manageable and the long dwelltime in the string bed creates a nice sensation when hitting the ball.

The standard Clash is one of the most user-friendly and comfortable racquets on the market. The soft feel and large sweet spot is one of the major reason for its success among club level players worldwide.

Summary
The Wilson Clash review will be released on January 15th on our YouTube channel, so make sure to subscribe. We will also publish a written review here. The review will focus on the Wilson Clash 100 and the Clash 100 Pro.
What do you think of the new Clash V3 cosmetic? It’s a step back towards the V1 and the reception has been mixed, but personally I feel it is a good move. Although, the Clash V2 racquets were quite “Chrismassy”.
What I miss in the Clash V3 line-up is the 98, which was my personal favorite V1 racquet, but I understand that players looking for more control are perhaps not the demographic for the Clash.
Which one is your favorite from the Clash V3 racquets? Let me know your opinions about the cosmetic and about the Clash line overall in the comments.
