Head Youtek IG Speed Pro Review

Written by: Jonas Eriksson | April 19, 2011

I have been play-testing the Head Youtek IG Speed Pro, the one that Djokovic endorses (although he is using something quite different, read this post for Djokovic’s actual racquet) and although I was skeptical with the weight at first since I normally play with a lighter player’s frame, I really love hitting with it now.

There are a couple of things I really like about this racket:

  • The spin generation
  • The design
  • The feel on volleys and drop shots

I am really enjoying to hit with this racket, but bear in mind that it’s quite heavy so you need to move your feet, prepare your shots and be competent technically. But if you feel you are a pretty advanced player this racket can be very beneficial for your game.

I put Babolat RPM Blast strings on mine at 55 lbs and I’m very happy with the feedback so far.
