What is Qinwen Zheng’s racquet?

Many players want to use the racquets that their heroes endorse. Zheng has her own signature model called Wilson Ultra 95 QZ, this is an old model, the Wilson Pro Tour 95. It is a 27.25-inch-long racquet with a 16/20 string pattern that used to be called nTour and hTour in some older generations.

Qinwen Zheng is one of the most powerful players on the WTA Tour, built around a big serve, aggressive forehand and ability to dictate play from the baseline. Her breakthrough came in 2023, and she took another major step forward in 2024.

• Olympic champion (2024): Zheng won the women’s singles gold medal at the Paris Olympics, defeating Donna Vekic in the final. She became the first Chinese tennis player to win an Olympic singles gold medal.
• Grand Slam breakthrough: She reached her first Grand Slam final at the 2024 Australian Open, becoming only the second Chinese player to reach a Grand Slam singles final after Li Na. She also reached the US Open quarterfinals in 2023, 2024 and 2026.
• WTA titles: Zheng won her first two WTA titles in 2023, at the Palermo Ladies Open and Zhengzhou Open. She successfully defended her Palermo title in 2024 before winning the Tokyo title later that year.
• WTA Finals: In 2024, Zheng qualified for the WTA Finals for the first time and reached the final, where she lost to Coco Gauff.
• WTA awards: Zheng was named WTA Newcomer of the Year in 2022 and Most Improved Player of the Year in 2023.
• Career-high ranking: Her run to the semifinals at Queen’s Club in June 2025 helped Zheng rise to a career-high No. 4 in the WTA rankings on June 16, 2025.

Recent Years

Zheng’s 2025 season was disrupted by an elbow injury. She underwent elbow surgery in July and played only one event after Wimbledon. She returned to competition later that year but struggled to regain her previous ranking level.

In 2026, she began rebuilding her ranking and made another deep run at the US Open, reaching the quarterfinals.
