Sebastian Baez is a young exciting player, very good on clay and currently ranked 27 in the world. Find out more about Baez racquet and gear as well as about his career so far.

What racquet does Sebastian Baez use?

Sebastian Baez racquet is a Yonex VCORE 100. He made the switch from a Babolat Pure Drive a few years back so my guess is that he is using the 2018 flame red version and not the current 2021 edition. I also don’t know if it’s extended or standard length, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a VCORE 100+. Shorter players like Schwartzman tend to use longer racquets for more power on groundstrokes and reach on serve.

There are pretty long strips of lead tape on his racquets, so, like Schwartzman, I think he plays a frame with high swing weight. The swing weight and extra length would make the racquet more powerful and compensate for some lack of power (mainly due to lack of height compared to many players on the tour).

Baez strings his racquet with Yonex Poly Tour Strike.
