Bio and Career
Lukas Neumayer was born on September 6th, 2002, in Salzburg, Austria, and he began playing tennis at the age of 5.
A right-handed player, he turned pro in 2021 and has made great progress in the professional ranks. Neumayer first gained attention on the ITF Junior Tour, reaching a career-high junior ranking of no 27 and advancing to the quarterfinals of the 2020 French Open boys singles.
His professional breakthrough came in 2021 when, ranked no 980, he qualified for the main draw of the ATP 250 Generali Open in Kitzbรผhel, defeating higher-ranked players Lukas Rosol and Juan Ignacio Londero, marking his ATP Tour debut. In 2022, he won his first ITF Futures title at the M15 Antalya, defeating Martรญn Cuevas, and secured four additional ITF singles titles that year.
In total, Lukas has also reached five Challenger finals but lost all of them. “The title will definitely come one day.” commented Neumayer.
By June 2025, Neumayer achieved a career-high ATP singles ranking of No. 166 and a doubles ranking of No. 492 (July 2022).
Currently ranked 169, Neumayer continues to develop under coaches Gรผnter Bresnik and Gerald Kamitz.
