Barbora Krejcikova is a Czech tennis player, successful in both singles and doubles, with 12 Grand Slam titles in all. But what is Krejcikova’s racquet?

Krejcikova’s racquet

Krejcikova still endorses the outgoing HEAD Extreme MP with the “avocado” cosmetic. But like most pro players, she is not using the racquet she is endorsing. Underneath the cosmetic is a HEAD Youtek IG Extreme Pro with a rounder head shape and the pro stock code TGT 285.

This racquet was a favorite of many aggressive baseliners and possibly the most popular HEAD Extreme racquet thus far. We will see if the new HEAD Extreme 2024 racquets can rival it. We are working on a review here at Tennisnerd as we write this.

Krejcikova’s racquet is strung with Luxilon Alu Power 1.25. We are not sure about her string tension.

Biography and Career Highlights

Barbora Krejcikova was born on 18th December 1995 in Brno, Czech Republic. She started playing tennis already at the age of 6 and had a very promising junior career, especially in doubles.

At the end of 2013, Krejcikova was ranked 3rd in the world on the junior rankings after she won the doubles titles at the French Open, at Wimbledon and the US Open with her playing partner Katerina Siniakova (also from Czech Rep). Later in the same year she also won the European Junior Championship U18 in Switzerland in both singles and doubles

The Doubles team with Siniakova has had major success and in 2018 they won their first two doubles titles; the French Open and the Wimbledon Championships. They reached No. 1 in the doubles rankings in October same year.

This followed by titles at the the 2021 French Open, the 2022 Australian Open, the 2022 Wimbledon Championships and the pair completed the career grand slam with the doubles title at the US Open.

Barbora has shown over the years that she is also a great singles player. 2021 was a good year when she won her first WTA singles title at Strasbourg just before entering the 2021 French Open where she kept the momentum and claimed her first Grand Slam title in singles. With these results, Krejcikova climbed to a career-high of No. 15 in the singles rankings.

In 2023, Krej?íková won her first WTA 1000 title (singles) at the Dubai Tennis Championships, and in 2024 she got her second singles Major when she won the Wimbledon final, defeating Jasmine Paolini in straight sets.

Krejcikova is currently ranked 13 in the official WTA rankings, as of November 2024.
