Jan-Lennard Struff is a German player with a big serve and some powerful weapons from the back of the court. But what is Jan-Lennard Struff’s racquet?

Jan-Lennard Struff is ranked in the top 50 and a solid performer on the ATP Tour.

Jan-Lennard Struff’s Tennis Racquet

Jan Lennard Struff was a Babolat Pure Drive user for many years, but some years back he made a switch to the HEAD Extreme. He endorses the HEAD Extreme MP 2024 but is likely using an older HEAD Extreme model painted like the latest one.

For you who are new to this, this is what is called a pro stock racquet and a paint job. if you carefully study the frame, you might be able to pick up on a few things: the string pattern is different from the commercial model, the beam width, the head shape, etc. In the case of Jan Lennard Struff’s racquet, it is hard to say what it really is just from looking at pictures.

To me, it actually looks like he might be using a pro stock version of the actual Graphene 360 Extreme Pro or MP which would have the HEAD Pro stock code:ย TGT333.1. Click hereย if you want to know more aboutย HEAD pro stock codes.

  1. When I count right, Jan-Lennard Struffโ€™s Racquet has 14 main strings on the top and the bottom, before the first cross string comes. On the sold model I count only 12 main strings on these places.

  2. And it looks like, Richard Gasquet uses the same raquet as Struff. Both are 16/19 strings.

  3. Gasquet uses the PT161XL (HEAD LM Instinct Tour XL), I think Struff is using a newer version, but not sure which one.

  4. In my opinion he definitely not uses the current version. The strings pattern of his racquet is much closes.
