Wilson launches the latest version of “The Marta Dress”, the athlete-designed piece that became a hit when it debuted at Wimbledon 2024.
When Marta Kostyuk walked onto the Wimbledon grass courts in 2024 wearing a shortened version of her wedding dress, nobody quite expected it to become one of the most talked-about moments in recent tennis fashion. The dress sold out immediately, was inducted into the Wimbledon Museum, and established Wilson’s reputation for thinking differently about tennis apparel.
Now, on June 27, 2026, just before the 2026 Wimbledon begins, Wilson and Kostyuk are returning with the second edition of The Marta Dress. and they want to “ensure beauty never comes at the expense of performance.”
From Wedding Dress to Court
The story started in November 2023 when Kostyuk married in Cyprus. Working with Wilson’s head designer Joelle Michaeloff, she created wedding dresses that mixed athleticism with the elegance of the bride. When Wimbledon came around in July 2024, that same creative partnership produced a tennis version.
“Everything that was in my wedding dress is the same in the tennis dress because it’s the way I live my life on and off the court,” Kostyuk said at the time. The original featured a deep-V neckline, open back and a removable button-up layer that maintained on-court functionality.

The Second Edition
The 2026 version changes the concept a bit. Rather than a one-piece, this edition features a two-piece construction: a coordinated bra, vest and skirt system with technical lace detailing throughout.
Key Details:
- Technical lace accents that elevate without compromising performance
- Four-way stretch performance weave underneath the lace for durability
- Refined design that builds on the original’s success
- It will be available in limited quantities
“What appears delicate proves to be indestructible,” is one of Wilson’s own words about the new piece.

The design process is clear. Kostyuk didn’t simply wear a dress Wilson created for her – she actively designed it alongside Michaeloff. This is athlete-led design, not brand-imposed aesthetics.
The dress balances what looks beautiful in photos with what actually functions in a professional tennis match and it’s great to see this new kind of thinking in tennis wear.
Kostyuk, currently world No. 13, continues to be Wilson’s fashion innovator. She’s not just a brand ambassador wearing predetermined designs, she’s nowadays a creative partner shaping Wilson’s apparel philosophy.
The Wilson Marta Dress 2026 launches June 27 through the Wilson website and select retailers for just under $200. Note that only limited quantities will be available.
