Is lululemon Becoming a Tennis Brand? New 2026 Tennis Collections

When lululemon first entered tennis, it was still primarily associated with other areas such as yoga or training. That began to change in 2022, when the company launched its first-ever dedicated tennis collection and signed Canadian star Leylah Fernandez as an ambassador, but also to test products and provide feedback that could influence future designs.

Four years later, tennis has become a much more visible part of the lululemon business. The company now has substantial men’s and women’s tennis collections, dedicated racket bags and accessories, several pro tennis ambassadors, and even a multi-year partnership with the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.

Success on Tour: Fernandez and Tiafoe

Fernandez has been with the brand since 2022, while Frances Tiafoe joined as an ambassador in 2025 with similar roles. More recently, American Ethan Quinn has also become part of the company’s tennis roster.

The timing has also been interesting from a performance perspective.

On September 27, 2026, Fernandez won the Singapore Tennis Open, defeating Talia Gibson 7-5, 6-0 in the final. It was the Canadian’s sixth career WTA title and her first of the 2026 season.

Tiafoe, meanwhile, has shown great form during the 2026 season with a title in Halle and a strong run to the US Open semifinal.

The Latest Lululemon Tennis Collections for 2026

The current tennis range is significantly broader than the company’s original offering.

On the women’s side, lululemon currently lists a large assortment of tennis dresses, skirts, tops, shorts, jackets and other pieces.

The range also shows the brand’s approach to tennis: traditional court silhouettes are combined with the technical fabrics, liners, pockets and construction that have become synonymous with lululemon.

Women’s Tennis

One of the key pieces is the Layered Racerback Tennis Dress. It combines a traditional tennis-dress silhouette with an open racerback, built-in support and a liner designed for movement on court. The dress is currently featured prominently in lululemon’s tennis campaign, including imagery with Leylah Fernandez.

The Layered Long-Liner Tennis Skirt takes a slightly different approach. Instead of simply being a traditional pleated tennis skirt, it incorporates a built-in liner, pockets and an internal drawcord.

Then there is the RePleat High-Rise Tennis Skirt, which has become one of the more recognizable pieces in the collection. It combines lightweight pleats with built-in shorts, liner pockets and silicone grippers designed to reduce ride-up. The fabric is designed to be lightweight, four-way stretch, sweat-wicking and quick-drying.

Tennis nerd Wendy tested some of their tennis-skirt collections and was very happy with the comfort and the fabrics used. She felt like the new collection was super soft and looked fresh on the court. In the photos above we can see her wearing the RePleat High-Rise Pleated Tennis Skirt Contrast in the Lido Geo Dreamy Blue colourway. The design uses a blue-and-white graphic pattern while retaining the technical construction of the RePleat range, including built-in shorts, pockets and silicone grippers.

The women’s collection also includes pieces such as the Half-Zip Tennis Pullover, Layered Racerback Tennis Tank Top, Side-Pleat Tennis Short, Tennis Track Short and a variety of lightweight tennis jackets and warm-up pieces.

Men’s Tennis

The men’s collection has taken a strong focus on lightweight and breathable materials.

The current range includes the Mesh Pique Tennis Short-Sleeve Shirt, Mesh Pique Tennis Polo Shirt, Lightweight Mesh-Panelled Tennis Short 7″, Pique Mesh-Panel Sleeveless Tennis Shirt and UV-Protective Mesh Panelled Tennis Shirt.

The Mesh Pique pieces you have probably seen, with Tiafoe wearing the short-sleeve version. The company is clearly leaning into mesh construction and airflow for hot conditions.

There is also a growing warm-up and off-court selection, and some of them look really good.

More Than Tennis Clothes

One of the more significant developments is that lululemon has started building a tennis ecosystem with several accessories and bags.

The Racket Bag 19L, for example, has a detachable racket holder designed to carry up to two rackets, along with space for shoes, clothing and other equipment. It can be carried as a backpack or over the shoulder.

There is also a Small Racket Bag 16.5L, while the wider tennis accessories category includes hats, visors, socks and other court-oriented products.

Another sign of Lululemon’s tennis ambitions came in 2026, when the company became the Official Outfitter of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells as part of a multi-year partnership. Lululemon outfitted tournament staff, officials, volunteers and ball crew, while Fernandez, Tiafoe and Quinn competed in lululemon kits.

With the company calling tennis a “core activity,” the partnership gives lululemon a much bigger presence in the sport than an individual player sponsorship alone.

We really like that their products are becoming increasingly tennis-specific, with dedicated skirts, dresses, shorts, and much more.
