He was born on January 23rd, 2002, in Buenos Aires, and began playing tennis at the age of seven. Known for being the son of former Argentine footballer (and 1986 World Cup winner) Jorge Burruchaga.
Burruchaga’s career has seen consistent progression, culminating in his debut on the main ATP Tour and in Grand Slam main draws.
- ATP and Major Debuts: He made his ATP main draw debut in 2024 at the Córdoba Open as a qualifier, recording his first ATP win against fellow compatriot Diego Schwartzman. He also qualified for his first Grand Slam main draw at the 2024 French Open.
- Ranking: His career-high ATP singles ranking is World No. 77, achieved in April 2026. His career-high doubles ranking is No. 191 (October 2022).
