Novak Djokovic Chalks Up Milestone 100th Wimbledon Victory and Sets Sights On Yet More Success

Defeating fellow Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic took Novak Djokovic less than two hours and the third round win at Wimbledon helped the veteran superstar reach a milestone 100th win at the English Grand Slam event, making him only the second menโ€™s player after Roger Federer to secure such a century, with only Martina Navratalova having done so in the womenโ€™s game.

The win was routine, Djokovic easing to a 6-3, 6-0, 6-4 triumph and the 38-year-old, who is the sixth seed at the 2025 event, will hope he can keep pushing himself closer to what could be his record-breaking 25th Grand Slam singles success.

Those who want to bet on Wimbledon, or indeed any other upcoming tennis tournament, can aid any potential wager with the use of this hugely enticing Bet365 promo code, which would make any payout even sweeter.

Djokovicโ€™s pursuit of a 25th Grand Slam title has been ongoing since he won the 2023 US Open, and while he is clearly in the latter stages of his glittering career, you wouldnโ€™t bet against him getting his hands on another big trophy win.

On securing a 100th Wimbledon victory, Djokovic was quick to show his love for the event, which he first took part in back in 2005, commenting.

“Wimbledon is a favourite and a dream tournament of not just myself but the majority of players.”

“Growing up, most kids dream of winning here and I’ve been blessed to do that many times here. Any history I make in my favourite tournament… I’m blessed.”

The first of his seven Wimbledon singles titles came in 2011, when he beat his big rival, Rafael Nadal. He has also defeated Roger Federer in two other finals, and in 2023, he once again reached the final, only to lose to young starlet Carlos Alcaraz.

He then lost to the Spaniard again in 2024 and will hope to make amends this time around, albeit he is seen by many as something of an outside bet to triumph at the All England Tennis Club.

Djokovic could meet up with in-form Italian Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals and commented on the fact that he had previously offered the player advice, back when he was practising with him some time ago.

โ€œI think he was 13, 14 years old when I met him first and hit some balls with him. Already at that point he was skinny and tall, kind of like myself. Heโ€™s taller than me, but I was always quite skinny when I was younger,โ€ Djokovic said of his rival.

โ€œHe was just ripping the ball. You could see that heโ€™s got really good timing, good speed on his strokes. He uses a Head Speed racquet that I use, as well. There are quite a few similarities.โ€

โ€œBut heโ€™s unique in his own way. The work that he has done with his team over the last couple of years is tremendous in terms of his improvement.โ€

World number one Sinner is to win his first Wimbledon this year, having secured three previous Grand Slam titles, winning twice at the Australian Open and once at the US Open
