The Cincinnati Open, a cornerstone of the North American hard-court season, has just unveiled its 2025 prize money, marking a quite decent uplift for players as the tournament runs from August 7th–18th. This tournament will, unlike the Canadian Open, feature most of the top ranked players on both men’s and women’s tour.
For this year there will be a total prize money pool for the ATP of $9,193,540 and for WTA $5,152,599. This is one of the few remaining events where it’s not equal pools for men and women.

The 2025 Prize Money Breakdown (and points)
The 2025 Cincinnati Open offers a total prize pool of $9,193,540, up from $6,795,555 in 2024. This increase reflects the event’s status as a Masters 1000 (ATP) and WTA 1000 tournament, held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio.
For singles champions, the ATP winner pockets $1,124,380, compared last year’s $1,049,460 win for Sinner, while the WTA champion earns $752,275, up from $523,485 last year. Runners-up see boosts too, with $597,890 for the ATP (up from $573,090) and $391,600 for the WTA (up from $308,320).

Why the Increase?
We see increase on most tournaments each year and the rise aligns with rising costs and the tournament’s 126-year history, dating back to 1899. Beemok Capital’s investment and the event’s proximity to the US Open (one week prior) justify the hike, aiming to continue to attract the top players and boost attendance. Some speculate it’s a response to European tour inflation, though no official statement confirms this.
