ASICS and French fashion brand A.P.C. has just recently teamed up to launch a 50-piece tennis collection, mixing high-performance tennis gear with sleek, minimalist style. The ASICS x A.P.C. is a bold collection that surely will create opinions in the tennis community.

This is the first-ever head-to-toe tennis collaboration for ASICS and it’s not small… featuring 20 on-court and 30 off-court pieces with A.P.C.’s signature white/blue colors in sort of a 70’s simplistic style. It’s already being embraced by several tour players and you might have seen some unique styles from this collection on Lorenzo Musetti or Alex de Minaur at the ATP Madrid Masters.

On-Court Collection

The 20-piece on-court collection is made for competitive play, combining ASICS known tech in sports wear with A.P.C.’s clean, monochromatic look. Some key women’s items include the Crew Dress, Longline Bra and the 7-Inch Sprinter Short, while for the men we find the Crew Shortsleeve Top, Crew Sleeveless Top (Musetti image above) and 5-Inch Short. The unisex lineup features a crisp blue-and-white palette.

Footwear includes two special-edition models: the GEL-Resolution X x A.P.C. and Solution Speed FF 3 x A.P.C., both costing around $180. These maintain ASICS’ signature GEL cushioning and Dynawall stability but with the refined aesthetic from APC with white or navy uppers and metallic silver accents. Accessories like the Tennis Cap, Tennis Wristband and Court+ Tennis Crew Socks are also nice additions. All items meet ATP and WTA tournament standards, per ASICS’ press release.

Off-Court Collection

The 30-piece off-court collection, led by A.P.C.’s Creative Director Judith Touitou, is all about style for daily wear. It includes relaxed sweats, hoodies and oversized jackets, all in A.P.C.’s signature denim and neutral tones. One unique accessory is the Tote Raquette, a Japanese organic denim bag with a racket pocket, see image below. The GEL-Kayano 14 x A.P.C. sneaker, available in White/Silver and Midnight/Indigo Fog rounds out the footwear with a retro vibe and gum sole. “We tried to achieve the purest silhouettes possible,” Touitou said.

The collection launched globally on April 5 via the official websites and select ASICS and A.P.C. stores. Its limited-edition nature has fans moving fast to get their size.

Players Backing the Collection

ASICS athletes will be playing in these kits during the European clay swing, including Madrid, Rome and Roland Garros. Look out for the ASICS x A.P.C. collections on Alex de Minaur, Lorenzo Musetti, Belinda Bencic, Harriet Dart and Jasmine Paolini.

The ASICS x A.P.C. collection taps into the new “tenniscore” fashion wave in tennis clothing, blending sport and streetwear in a way that’s both functional and stylish. Its Japanese-inspired details and minimalist palette make it interesting for both tour players and casual tennis fans.

This collab nails the balance of style and substance, even though the style might not be everyone’s cup of tea. ASICS and A.P.C. have set a high bar for tennis fashion, and it will be interesting to see the opinion among fans for this collection.
