Top Players As Inspiration: David Ferrer
I used to only appreciate talent, but what age has taught me is that there’s nothing more inspiring than hard work and dedication. One player that’s all about that is current world number #6 David Ferrer. He possesses one big weapon – his legs! He trains like a maniac off court and it all seems to […]
Should Federer Change His Racket?
Does size matter? Sports Illustrated tennis writer Jon L. Wertheim wrote the excellent book Strokes of Genius about the titanic battle of the Wimbledon final 2008 and since then I’ve followed his writing on twitter and on SI.com and enjoyed and agreed on much of it. His latest “mailbag” post discusses the interesting question of […]

Every tennis player has a playing style and personality on the court. We have weaknesses, strengths and patterns in our play. But sometimes we don’t know who we are, we know who we want to be and it’s not doing us many favors on the tennis court. Let me explain. I have always pictured myself […]

[…]

The GOAT debate: Nadal or Federer
I don’t think there was a single soul in the “stadium” in Monte Carlo who was surprised when Nadal threw his Schwartznegger-like arms in the air and celebrated his seventh Monte Carlo Masters title. He is Rafael Nadal and on clay, there is nobody in the history of mankind that can outfox him. The recent […]
Monte Carlo Masters Final Prediction Nadal vs Ferrer
What do you think if you give me ten games and I give you a five strokes on the golf course afterwards? Another Ferrer vs Nadal run-fest! There is no point in predicting another winner than Rafa but Ferrerrrrrr should give him a RUN for his money. I think something like 7-5 6-3 in Rafa’s […]
