Toroline Enso Pro Review – Balanced Feel meets Modern Control

Toroline Enso Pro Review

Toroline Enso Pro is a flexible co-polyester string made for players who want control without deadness, good spin without harshness, and a feel that stays easy to use even after long sessions. Enso Pro is a string that sits between crisp control polys and softer spin-oriented options. It aims to give players who like to swing confidently without fighting an overly stiff stringbed a “sweet spot” response.

I tried Enso Pro in the Wilson Blade V9, which is a racquet that works well with a responsive co-poly, to see how it fits into the modern game. From the first rally, Enso Pro felt balanced, interesting, and easy to use in the Blade.

Tech & specs

  • Gauge: 1.25mm (tested) (also comes in 1.24mm, 1.27mm)
  • Material: Co-polyester
  • Shape: Round
  • Colour: Yellow (also comes in Neon Pink, Grey, Matcha Green)

Playtest results

Enso Pro immediately felt more polished and slick than some traditional control strings right from the start. It’s not stiff or springy; it’s in that comfortable middle ground where you get feedback without feeling too stiff. It feels clean and connected and has a linear trajectory.

This isn’t a string for wild spin or raw pop but it more a control-first comfortable Poly and reminds me a lot of Yonex Poly Tour Pro. In the Blade V9 it doesn’t feel too tame but has just enough liveliness without feeling you lose that control.

Break-In Period

Enso Pro doesn’t require much of a break-in period.  The stringbed feels consistent from the first ball. That said, after the first 20–30 minutes of hitting:

  • The response feels slightly more connected
  • Pocketing feels a bit deeper (although it is subtle)
  • Spin/control improves and feels much more playable

Durability & Tension Maintenance

For a co-poly in this gauge, Enso Pro holds tension ok but it does become a bit tinny and deadened after maybe 8-10 hours. This is what I found after about 8 hours heavy hitting:

  • Tension stability: Doesn’t drop off suddenly, but you do notice it feel less lively
  • Notching: Moderate, seems to hold up fairly well

Snap-back: Consistent across many hours

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Balanced feel – smooth and direct
  • Reliable control with predictable trajectories
  • Solid access to spin without being extreme
  • Comfortable enough for long sessions
  • Works consistently in a control-oriented racquet like the Blade

Cons

  • Moderate spin only (typical in a round string)
  • Tension holding is average compared to some more stable control polys
  • Not ultra-soft for players who prioritise comfort above all

Comparable Strings

Here’s where Enso Pro sits relative to familiar strings:

In summary – Toroline Enso Pro

Toroline Enso Pro is a dependable co-poly that strikes a good balance between control, feel, and playability. In the Wilson Blade V9, it gave me a confident, stable response. It was lively enough for aggressive baseline play but also predictable when flattening out shorter balls.  I did enjoy it on volleys and at the net but can feel a little rigid on some angles.  Tension holding is good without being overwhelming.

Personally I use this quite often as a cross string with a more aggressive shaped string in the mains.  I do think it works better in a hybrid setup vs full bed.
