The 2025 Citi Open in Washington heats up with a second-round clash on Tuesday as No. 2 seed Lorenzo Musetti faces British No. 3 Cameron Norrie on the John Harris Court. Here’s a quick look at their form, head-to-head and our best bets and predictions for Musetti vs Norrie.

Lorenzo Musetti (World No. 7) is coming off a tough first-round exit at Wimbledon, his only match since retiring in the Roland Garros semifinals against Carlos Alcaraz due to a leg injury. Despite a great 25-9 record in 2025, including a Monte-Carlo final, Musetti’s 6-4 hard-court mark and injury concerns make this a test.

Cameron Norrie (World No. 41) reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals, losing to Alcaraz (6-4, 6-7, 6-3, 6-4), and started Washington with a 6-3, 7-6(4) win over Billy Harris. With a 26-19 record this season, Norrie’s defensive game and recent form give him some confidence.

Head-to-Head

Musetti leads 2-0, both wins on clay: 6-4, 6-4 at 2022 Monte-Carlo and 6-1, 6-2, 6-4 at 2023 Roland Garros. This is their first hard-court meeting though.

Betting Odds

  • Moneyline: Musetti -137.5 (1.72) | Norrie +110 (2.10)
  • Game Spread: Musetti -1.5 (-114/1.88) | Norrie +1.5 (-116/1.86)
  • Total Games: Over 22.5 (-123/1.81) | Under 22.5 (-110/1.91)

Prediction and Best Bet

Musetti has shown earlier this year that he’s a top 10 player and he can take on the best. His hard-court form has not been super great and of course it’s slightly concerning that he only has that one game loss from Wimbledon since the French Open semifinal. I think he’s more ready at this tournament and hopefully he’s clear of all injuries completely.

Norrie is a good hard-court player and has shown good form lately. This will be a tough battle where I think Musetti will come out as winner at the end but it might take a lot of games and even three sets, so we’ll go with the over 22.5 games bet for odds -123 or 1.81.
