Customizing your tennis racquet
Okay, so your racquet is not playing the way you want it to and this is what you do about it. Let’s say it has too much power, too little power, it feels unstable on off-center hits, it’s too light, it’s difficult to manoeuvre and so you start looking for a new racquet. Actually, you […]
Djokovic 6th Aus Open title
Novak Djokovic has just won his 6th Australian Open title and 11th grand slam after 6-1 7-5 7-6 against Andy Murray. Like against Federer, Djokovic was quick out the starting blocks in a fashion that reminds you of Federer in his glory days. Winning the first set quickly will be a clear signal to your […]
Another Australian Andynole
Andy Murray has just beaten a fighting and aching Milos Raonic in five sets in a match that told us a few things, some new, some of which we already knew. I’ll make it into a list. Ask me why later. Andy Murray is a physical beast. Milos Raonic has taken big steps towards becoming […]
Djoko 2 good for Fed
They say that pictures say more than thousand words so here is the 6-1 6-2 3-6 6-3 Djokovic win from the semi-finals of the Australian Open in pictures. Leading up to their 45th encounter, Federer had looked great and Djokovic so-so. But already from the start Djokovic looked better than ever and produced two sets of […]
Wilson Blade 98 for sale
I’ve got more Wilson Blade 98 (2014 green model) than I need, hence I’m selling two of them. Great stick for control that still has a modern feel and generates lots of spin. I can add a leather grip or synthetic grip to it if you want (I generally prefer leather, but it does make […]
Tennis, Gym & Murray
This is how my mornings look these days. Gym and tennis. Or rather, gym while watching tennis. Also, the view from the window is not too bad over the beautiful island of Malta. Some notes on what happened earlier today: Murray played Ferrer in what was destined to be a grueling encounter. Both players are […]
Federer & Djokovic ready for semi-final
Both were in awesome form today, Federer beat Berdych 7-6 6-2 6-4 and Djokovic beat Nishikori 6-2 6-3 6.4. We’re ready for a blockbuster semi-final: Federer vs Djokovic (head-to-head 22-22).
Federer like a box of chocolates
And was solid in his win today against Dimitrov 6-4 3-6 6-1 6-4. Boy Band Goffin up next. Will not be easy, Goffin has game.
Hewitt’s Last Stand
Lleyton Hewitt’s last professional match happened today in his loss against David Ferrer. Hewitt was a true inspiration for many players, especially for his fighting skills and die-hard attitude. Wish him all the best on the side of the court.
Kyrgios maturing
He’s known to swear, have funky hairstyles, insult, break racquets and god knows what, but he sure is one hell of a tennis player and he’s getting better. Truly impressed with Kyrgios win today. Lost his cool when he lost his break in the third, but saved two set points and closed it out in […]
