The International Tennis Federation is getting a fresh look. Following a vote from its member associations, the governing body is officially rebranding to World Tennis.
The new brand will go live on Thursday, June 25, 2026, with a phased rollout across all platforms, tournament systems and player services.
The name change follows similar shifts by major sports organisations like World Athletics for example. The goal here is to create a simpler, more modern identity that unites its various tours and grassroots programs under one global name.
For players currently competing on the circuit, this rebrand comes with some immediate practical updates to online services starting this month.
World Tennis ID instead of IPIN
The most notable daily change for competitive players involves the International Player Identification Number system. The IPIN website is being renamed the World Tennis Tour Zone.
Along with the name change, the website URL will move to tourzone.world.tennis.
The physical IPIN number itself will become a World Tennis ID. Existing login credentials, passwords and numbers will automatically carry over to the new system, so players can access multiple digital services using a single account.
Phased Rollout Across Digital Platforms
Other branch services are also shifting:
- The digital training hub, ITF Academy, will switch its name to World Tennis Academy. While the content and educational materials remain unchanged, the web address will eventually move to academy.world.tennis.
- The main corporate website (itftennis.com) and official social media channels will adopt the World Tennis visual branding on June 25, with the main website URL transferring to world.tennis later this year.
- And also, corporate email communication will transition to the @world.tennis domain.
Event Schedule Adjustments
As usual in these changes, the rollout will hit different tournament sectors at different times. The new branding will be immediately visible across a few events starting already end of June. However, the lower tiers, specifically the World Tennis Tour and the World Tennis Tour Juniors, will not fully adopt the updated brand layout until January next year, apart from a few individual events.
