Yonex has officially announced the MUSE, a completely new racquet line designed to making tennis easier and more enjoyable. Launching in early May 2026, the MUSE mostly targets intermediate and recreational players who want to focus on the flow of the rally without overthinking technique or equipment.
“Forget Everything Else and Immerse Yourself in the Rally” – That’s the core tagline for the Yonex MUSE. It signals a shift away from “tour-level” specs toward a focus on playability, control and consistency. Built specifically for club players and social tennis communities, Yonex is calling this “the most user-friendly racquet we have ever made.” It should also be a good racquet option for players struggling with tennis elbow and other similar issues.
It is clear that other brands in the industry are targeting the success story of the Wilson Clash. We have recently seen the announcement of HEAD’s Squared and now we have the Yonex Muse. The idea is not to attract competitive players but seniors needing arm-friendly tech and forgiveness.
What Makes the MUSE Different: Synchro Frame Technology
The MUSE introduces the Synchro Frame, a construction that synchronises three core technologies to maximise forgiveness and stability:
- Isometric Head Shape Yonex’s signature design creates a sweet spot 7% larger than conventional round frames. By equalizing the length of the main and cross strings, it ensures consistent power even on off-center hits.
- Uniform Impact Grommet (Patent Pending) This standout innovation features a four-corner straight orientation grommet system. By merging two grommets into one at the corners, it allows for greater string movement and a more uniform feel across the entire string bed, effectively eliminating “dead spots” at the hoop’s edges.
- Concave Energy Flow Shaft Unlike standard flat shafts, the MUSE features a concave, contoured design. This specialized shape allows the shaft to remain slim and highly maneuverable while maintaining the necessary stability to deliver efficient energy to the ball without feeling harsh on the arm.

Who is this for?
The MUSE is positioned squarely at the heart of the tennis community, the 3.0–4.0 NTRP recreational player. It is designed for those who:
- Prioritize consistency and easy depth over raw, uncontrollable power.
- Want a reliable, forgiving frame that doesn’t require “pro” timing.
- Value a premium, high-quality “Made by Yonex” feel without tour-level physical demands.
The MUSE Capsule Collection
A departure from the high-contrast neons of the VCORE line, the MUSE launches with a lifestyle-focused Capsule Collection. The aesthetic features muted, earthy tones – specifically “Deep Forest” green and “Sand Beige”, across a full range of gear:
- Bags: Matching 6-pack and 9-pack pro bags.
- Strings: A new, comfort-oriented string designed to complement the Synchro Frame.
- Shoes & Apparel: Coordinated colors that lean into the “lifestyle” side of the sport.

Specs and Models
Yonex has confirmed two primary models for the initial launch:
- MUSE 100: The flagship model (approx. 300g unstrung), offering the perfect balance of stability and ease.
- MUSE 100L: A lightweight version (approx. 280g unstrung) designed for players who prioritize fast head speed and easy handling.
- Head Size: 100 sq. in.
- String Pattern: 16×19 (Optimized for spin and forgiveness).
So… Our take on the Yonex Muse racquet
The MUSE is probably a smart play by Yonex. While other brands are chasing more explosive power, the MUSE moves toward stability, forgiveness, and “flow.” It positions itself as a premium alternative to the Wilson Clash or HEAD Boom, offering a more refined, “connected” feel for the everyday player.
We will review this frame as soon as we receive it so keep a look out here on TN and on our Youtube channel.
